>John_Wilder: AABCR 8D BARCA +24 24
>Dustin_Dean: AEIORTU F6 OU.IE +9 9
#note EM(BARCA)DEROS for 70 would be nice here, but I'm a few tiles off. OU(R) for 5 is best, followed by OURE(B)I for 16. Next is exchanging OU, followed by OU(R)IE. I considered all of these options, and even started putting OURE(B)I down on the board.
>John_Wilder: IQ 9C QI +25 49
>Dustin_Dean: ADEIMRT 9H READMIT +64 73
#note best, only bingo
>John_Wilder: GINYZ E2 ZINGY +41 90
>Dustin_Dean: AAELMPS 2B PLA.A +36 109
#note I looked for a play that overlapped READMIT for 3W, but missed the best play LAMPAS which scores a whopping 59. Next best is O4 MAPLES for 50, then 2B PLA(Z)A for 36.
>John_Wilder: ADDEOT 8J DOATED +42 132
#note nice play by John
>Dustin_Dean: EGMORSS 1F MOG +22 131
#note The best play is the nine ERGO(TI)SMS for 63. Next are G2 SMOG for 27 and 1F MOGS for 25, both of which undouble the S on a board that is decidedly S-unfriendly. As it turned out, MOG was a pivotal play with endgame ramis.
>John_Wilder: AB 10J BA +26 158
>Dustin_Dean: EEHIRSS 11K HE +26 157
#note I wanted to play SHE, which is best, but also wanted to set up an S-ending lane, so I chose HE instead, setting up (ODAH)S. However, if I play SHE, and he subsequently plays the E at L12, he will necessarily open an S-ending bingo lane, unless he hooks the E with an H, T, W, or X (and even an EW play might allow -ES bingoes).
>John_Wilder: FNU 12L FUN +22 180
>Dustin_Dean: EIORSSV 13F VIROSES +68 225
#note best, only bingo
>John_Wilder: JO 1A JO +31 211
>Dustin_Dean: DEPSTTU O12 DUET +31 256
#note I duped myself here by sacrificing 6 points to leave PST instead of STT. I should take the points and play DUPE which is best.
>John_Wilder: ALT 3B TAL. +19 230
>Dustin_Dean: EEGLPST D8 ..LGE +16 272
#note 4C GE(N)TLE for 26 is best, but opens an easy lane for sevens. Next is (BI)LGE, folowed closely by12G PEG for 17.
>John_Wilder: CKNO G3 CONK +23 253
>Dustin_Dean: ENPSTWX H12 W.EN +33 305
#note W(R)EN is second to P(R)EX for 48.
>John_Wilder: EEF H4 FEE +32 285
#note scored as 33
>Dustin_Dean: IPSTTUX 14H .XIT +28 333
#note Other options here are C12 TUX 22, I2 PUTTS 29, and C12 TIX 22.
>John_Wilder: ILRV 12A VIL.R +12 297
>Dustin_Dean: EIPSTUW A12 .IEW +30 363
#note Other options here are I2 WITES 30, I1 SUITE 22, and D1 W(AL)I 26. VIEWS at least blocks bOSH(V)ARk, mOSHA(V)Im, and bRYOzOA(N).
>John_Wilder: NY B11 Y.N +8 305
>Dustin_Dean: AOPRSTU 7N PA +12 375
#note I should play D2 (AL)A for 10 here, keeping one tile in the bag to assure I have one more play if he bingoes, which is not unlikely, given that in the unseen pool there are 140 sevens starting with I or O that play at 2H; and 166 eights ending in D that play on column O. I elected to (try to) block column O and hope he doesn't bingo at 2H. This block is only partly effective, as there are still 23 eights ending in -AD (13 of which end in -HEAD). Blocking the D with O still allows 15 eights ending in -OD.
>John_Wilder: ?EHNORS O1 iRONHE..S +100 405
>John_Wilder: ?EHNORS -- -100 305
#note Fortunately, he did not see the winning bingoes ONSHORE or INSHORE, and PA blocked ENSHROu(D) and uNHORSE(D), his two valid bingoes down the O column. Had I played D2 (AL)A for 10 instead of blocking the O column, he would win with ENSHROu(D) for 95. My best play then would be B10 P(YIN)S for 36 which wouldn't be enough, regardless of whether he had the blank or the I as his last tile. However, after uNHORSE(D) for 86, he would win if I had drawn the I and he got the blank. On the other hand, if I got the blank and he got the I, I can still win with P(YIN)S for 36, as his best out plays only score 4. If he played ONSHORE or INSHORE, I can win regardless of whether his last tile is the blank or I, with 1K SPORT for 45.
