#note the two 82 scoring placements are uite similar, but I lked how the Y on the star might be hard to overlap for bingoes that start with consonants. Similarly, I didn tlike how the V on the star would fork the board and leave lanes at I1 and F1 which might need to be addressed longer term. There is some advantage to the V on the star in that if I do get a good play through the O or N that blocks upwards extension, something like CA(N)DY, that could be better for the closure of the board longterm, since the lower placement willl make it harder to extend to the top and top left, whereas it's harder to keep the bottom and bottom right from being opened after Y on the star. I went with Y on the star for a bit more of an immediate defense, and something that might take less effort to lead to a more restricted board.

#note this was exactliy the play I wanted here, restricting lanes and seeing up my B

#note was very close to doing INFUSE here, which is the more thematic play up by 50. I felt that INFUSE would increase his bingo % slightly, but more importantly I felt like EINS could respond well to potential openings Seth would make. They sim close together, and while INFUSE would usually be the path I go, I think on this tighter board the S can have extra value, given there isnt a lot of good scoring potential.

>Jackson: EGIINOS D7 OI +8 222
#note Quackle has a few placements of OI very close in the sim - the standard 10 point placement with TO, the one I made, and OI(L) for 5. OIL is great because the lane I make will score well and works perfectly with NOIL. That said Seth will try to take that spot if he can, and might sacrifice to do so. I didnt like the 10 point placement because even though Seth is down, at only a 40 point deficit he will probably keep the board tight as I show him such a narrow range, and so I was worried about EGINS bingoes not fitting. OI as I played it forces a better spot, for words starting in S or T or anything like that, and plus this opening is hard to block without making a better spot. Tough call here.

>Jackson: CEGINRS M7 ..C +8 230
#note or TEC/CATE for 3 more. Maybe that is better given ATE's range, since he probably has more Ss than average. RECS bingoes from seth would be really bad for me sinc ethey dont give back floaters, so I would rather that if he does hit it is on the E8 spot. That said on the flipside, it is much better for me to hit a RECS bingo as well. I think TEC is probably a bit better here overall

#note I think I missed a good opportunity here with HUG(E), setting up QUIZ for 66. That could have the problem of him opening something on the bottom right, in which case QUIZ + bingo could put me at barely an advantage, but it also does seal the deal so often when he doesn't do anything too proactive, andsometimes I can even just deal with his setup and not cash in QUIZ. GIGHE is more flexible though, keeping QU and Z to score well separately, and just going for the classic outscore. Hard to say here but I think the setup is worth it
>Seth_Lipkin: ADEOTVW 14L DOW +23 362
>Jackson: ADEIQUZ 15N ED +14 402
#note tough turn. QUAG is probably the way to go for outscoring here, keeping NAZI and ZIT with a T draw. That said I go up 60, and DOWS bingoes hit way harder than that. I only win after DOWS bingoes if he draws V and a consonant, where I can V stick him and outscore. The other problem with QUAG besides immediate bingoes is that it leaves 2 in the bag and lets him fish with something like 5B WO. The V will still be a problem for him if he draws it at any point, but this still gives him another option to shed the W for free. I dont have any good 4 tile plays that outrun DOWS bingoes, so I felt like blocking was the way to go. I basically never get outscored without a bingo after ED, given NAZI and QUAG. the G in GIGHE is a really bad lane for the pool so it forces him to open something upstairs, which I can often address.

#note great play
>Jackson: AAIQUVZ B10 QUA. +34 436
#note WOT was exactly the play I was not hoping for, and this was potentially a problem with OI from way earlier, that it creates this board configuration that allows for some setups that are very hard to block. Thats not an inherently bad thing, but it is something that often needs to be addressed proactively. Luckliy here, despite the great pool, QUAG actually blocks almost all of his bingoes. QUAG only loses to the R draw, where he would have CATSPAW. I saw that over the board and didnt see any other way to lose after QUAG, but it was still stressful in case I was missing something.
