>Edwin_Roth: AQT 8G QAT +24 24
#note 2025 Crescent City Cup. Round 19. There is no round 20. I caught a last minute Amrak train out of the city to avoid being snowed in.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEHIJLN 9F JIN +25 25
#note This or 7H HAJ for 22.
>Edwin_Roth: ITZ 10H TIZ +35 59
#note Everything I did in this game seemed like it backfired, much like Round 14 against Keith Hagel.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEEHLNY 11I NAY +25 50
#note I debated very hard between this play and 11D HYENA for 26, but didn't like the spot it gave back. However, I should have seen 11F HYENA for 28. That's a good mix of scoring, leave, and positioning.
>Edwin_Roth: FGLO 12J GOLF +34 93
#note GOLF still would have come down after HYENA, just for 5 fewer points.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADEEHLO E4 HEALED +32 82
#note If I am going to play long, I need to play HALOED in this spot for the leave which I didn't see. Quackle likes keeping things tight with 13K DOE for 27, burning my D which could be used for DJIN. I don't get that idea honestly. Maybe it's to restrict Ed's options a ton if he doesn't have a D?
>Edwin_Roth: AIVW 8A WAIV. +45 138
>Jonathan_Lindh: AIOSSTV N10 VISTA +41 123
#note I got this play right for sure.
>Edwin_Roth: OTW F5 TWO +31 169
>Jonathan_Lindh: LNOPRSS D3 PORN +31 154
#note POLS in the same spot for the marginally better leave. Close though.
>Edwin_Roth: DOPR C1 DROP +30 199
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADFLOSS 1A FA.OS +30 184
#note Seems fine. FADOS induces a lot of low scoring blocks from human opponents at the bottom right by tacking an S onto FADO. FADOS also scores 3 more points than FADO.
>Edwin_Roth: EER O13 ERE +13 212
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEILSUU 10L LU. +6 190
#note Looking back on things, I think I play M12 FUEL for 23 or trade UU. I thought I could hit a big bingo from LUV.
>Edwin_Roth: ?AEGIMY 2E IMAGErY +70 282
#note Best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEISTUU -UU +0 190
#note Best. It's bingo or die now. Besides, DEIST will certainly hit a big bingo very soon right?
>Edwin_Roth: EG H1 E.G +15 297
#note Only Zach Ansell can play that word on me.
>Jonathan_Lindh: BDEIIST 1K BIDET +34 224
#note Best. Have to keep scoring to keep myself in range.
>Edwin_Roth: ?EEMORT O4 METEORs +89 386
#note Best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DHINSSU 3K SHUN +22 246
#note Threw in the towel and decided to cut spread. At this point, I was focused on catching my last minute Amtrak train, not on this currently unwinnable game.
>Edwin_Roth: BEUX B6 BE.UX +36 422
#note A fitting New Orleans word.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DIIORSU L3 .OURI +16 262
#note Looks fine. Just cutting spread and moving tiles.
>Edwin_Roth: AACEKOR 13M A.. +16 438
#note I think this was Ed's actual rack. I was afraid he might do something like JACK/JOCK and block my bingo because there are a bunch of potential bingos hooking ZAGS. However, from his perspective, INCISED is in the pool hooking JACKS for a boatload of points, so I don't think any play Ed makes can prevent 100% from bingoing.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEILNNS 13D LINDENS +75 337
#note I was really happy to get this down. A very appropiate bingo for me.
>Edwin_Roth: ACCEKOR 12A CROAK +38 476
#note Best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: I 10B .I +9 346
#note Best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: (CE) +8 354
#note Final score recorded as 474-354. I may not play perfectly, but I certainly book my emergency travel plans at a top expert level to avoid getting snowed in at the Drury.
