>Zachary_Ansell: IORVZ 8D VIZOR +42 42
#note Now this is the NWL game that should have been shown on stream.
>Jonathan_Lindh: BFGIIOY 7G YOGI +25 25
#note Hard opening turn. I considered similar options such as 7G BOGY for 24 and F6 FIZ for 23, but settled on this to shed duplicate I's. Quackle is fine with it. Let's hope Zach does not have a Q.
>Zachary_Ansell: EEW 9G WEE +27 69
>Jonathan_Lindh: BFIIIJN K5 JIN +29 54
#note Best. Given what I drew, keeping dual I's would have been a disaster. I can work through this rack without exchanging.
>Zachary_Ansell: AIILOOR - +0 69
#note Exchange 4. Not actual rack.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ABFIIIO L6 FIB +26 80
#note Looks good. I wanted to seal off the QI spot for good and score. I have to hope I draw consonants.
>Zachary_Ansell: DLR J6 D.RL +27 96
>Jonathan_Lindh: AACIIIO -AACIIIO +0 80
#note Nothing worth keeping on this board.
>Zachary_Ansell: ACEHMNT E2 ANTHEM.C +80 176
#note Best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADDLOOY 5A LADY.OOD +66 146
#note I was very close to playing 4K DOODY for 40 and then I saw my best play. Another one of my great finds of the tournament.
>Zachary_Ansell: ?EKOPT A4 K.EPTO +51 227
#note Zach told me he had a blank and possibly LAKEPORT after the game but I forgot his last tile.
>Jonathan_Lindh: CEENSTW F5 .W +26 172
#note Close. Quackle, likes scoring a few more points with plays like B5 AWE for 31 which I strongly considered. CEENST may not have been quite as good on this board as I once thought but I think it's very very close.
>Zachary_Ansell: AO 4C OA. +19 246
>Jonathan_Lindh: CEEHNST B5 .H +26 198
#note TENCHES does not play. H1 ECHED for 36 is another good option too. Zach also played two tiles so there is a chance he might bingo and I might be able to bingo back.
>Zachary_Ansell: ?ABDESU M8 ABDUcES +78 324
#note Post-mortem, we saw 4I BEDAUBS for 82 which would have worked out better for Zach.
>Jonathan_Lindh: CEENSTU 14G CUTENE.S +74 272
#note Best.
>Zachary_Ansell: EFN H12 EN.F +24 348
>Jonathan_Lindh: EIMORSU B9 MOUSIER +76 348
#note I have a chance! This MOUSIER is easily best over the other MOUSIER, which gives back way too many points.
>Zachary_Ansell: ELTTV 13A V.TTLE +18 366
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEIINTU 15A U.INE +18 366
#note Close. 15A URAEI for 18 is probably the play. I wanted a play that played at 15A that shed the A because of all of the unseen A's but could not generate URAEI.
>Zachary_Ansell: GI 7A .IG +14 380
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AAIRTX 2A ATAR.XIa +110 476
#note Now come the fireworks! I find the ridiculous ATARAXIA for 110. I porbably should have made the blank a C instead of an A, but Zach's available bingos generally play in the N column as well, so ATARAXIA's win % chances are somehow a little better than ATARAXIC's (not sure how that is possible, I think I should have played ATARAXIC here). I have to hope Zach does not bingo back and I should be in the clear. Would you pass up the bingo with F1 AX for 50 keeping AIRT?? I considered it, but thought ATARAXIA was just too many points. It's very close, all of the best plays are about 85% to win, which sounds about right.
>Zachary_Ansell: AGINPRS 1G SPARING +94 474
#note The unseen pool started looking more dangerous every time I crossed off a played tile until I was filled with more impending doom than Lyle Lanley being diverted to North Haverbrook. SPARING, where have I seen that word before? Oh no, OH NO!
>Zachary_Ansell: (AAELOQR) +32 506
#note Great game! Probably will go down as one of the greatest games of 2025. I used up most of my remaining mental energy on this game. Losing this game knocked me out of contention for first place.
