>Dustin_Dean: DEEIRWW - +0 0
#note I considered WEIRD, but found something weirder.
>Eric_Goldstein: AGQT -QATG +0 0
#note After our game, Eric kindly shared what he recalled his racks to be.
>Dustin_Dean: DEEIRWW - +0 0
>Eric_Goldstein: E -E +0 0
>Dustin_Dean: DEEIRWW - +0 0
>Eric_Goldstein: AEHISTT 8B ATHIEST +78 78
#note Since I passed 3 times for 0, and he exchanged twice for 0, it's a 6-pass loss for me if I challenge ATHIEST* off, given that I'm holding DEEIRWW. So, he could have played ATHIEST* one square to the left at 8A for 3W (not touching the center square)--or anywhere else on the board for that matter--and I would have to let it go. Intentionally misspelling to induce 6-pass makes sense if you have a blank and one-pointers (a rack like AEISTT?). However, with my three passes it may be inferred that I have this kind of rack myself, and that AEHISTT is not strong enough to employ this strategy. Also of note is the powerful L front hook ATHIEST* creates, forming the valid LATHIEST for 3W, and tripling any other word formed. For example, ZOEAL or ZORIL at A4 score 105.
>Dustin_Dean: DEEIRWW F2 WIREWE.D +81 81
>Dustin_Dean: DEEIRWW -- -81 0
#note Not sure why I thought this was good, but my theory is: FIREWORM + WIREWORM + FIREWEED = WIREWEED. Had this been good, as I mistakenly thought it was, I'm up 81-78 and it's my turn, with a rack that isn't DEEIRWW.
>Eric_Goldstein: ?EGINNO C6 NI.rOGEN +68 146
#note Lots to think about here. He had about 9 minutes left after settling on this play, his second word. H8 (T)ENONInG, making the blank a third N, is the highest scoring option at 77, with D8 (H)ONEyING for 76 next. 9H OPEnING is interesting, since he knows my rack is DEEIRWW and I don't have an S for OPENINGS.
>Dustin_Dean: DEEIRWW 12A WE.D +24 24
#note This wireless WEED should never have been planted. D10 WIDE 32 or WIDER 34 are favored options. With LLLL still unseen, is B12 WIPE 25 the play?

EDIT (Josh Sokol here): Dustin put his future rack in here rather than the rack he's had for the past 9 moves.

>Eric_Goldstein: ABELRRY A12 .ARY +30 176
>Dustin_Dean: DEIIPRW 6A WI. +8 32
#note 11C (G)IP 12 ???

>Dustin_Dean: DEIOPRT 4C PROT.IDE +74 106
#note only bingo
>Eric_Goldstein: ACEFKRU A1 CURFE. +54 294
#note Nice play. Another option is 1A FARCEU(R) for 45.
>Dustin_Dean: EORSTUX F1 OX +52 158
#note 1C OXTE(R)S is 9 more but doesn't seem worth it.
>Eric_Goldstein: AEIKPR 1E P..KIER +39 333
>Dustin_Dean: BDERSTU 10B D.UBTERS +67 225
>Eric_Goldstein: AEHTZ 2I THE +31 364
>Dustin_Dean: IJLLOTU E3 J.LT +22 247
#note A8 LI for 39 keeping OUJLT ???
>Eric_Goldstein: AAIOZ 3K ZOA +36 400
#note nice setup
>Dustin_Dean: EILNOSU 9I ELUSION +62 309
#note at 5I for 69
>Eric_Goldstein: ADGIILQ O4 DIALI.G +33 433
>Dustin_Dean: EEFMNNY 4L FEN. +28 337
#note 4L MY or L2 M(O)NY for 27 ???
>Eric_Goldstein: AAQSVV K7 AQ.AS +28 461
>Dustin_Dean: AACEMNY H10 .AY +10 347
#note Champ recommends N4 (N)AM 23 keeping AECNY. Then maybe I draw ?V to bingo out with M8 V(I)CENArY for 80 after he inexplicably plays elsewhere.
>Eric_Goldstein: ?GINVV M8 G.VINg +18 479
#note g(I)VING was his actual play
>Dustin_Dean: ACEMMNO 13G CAMO +21 368
#note MACON or CAMEO
>Eric_Goldstein: OV 6M OV. +14 493
>Eric_Goldstein: (EMN) +10 503
#note Legend has it there's a WEED, that grows up higher. It shines in the sun, like a golden WIRE.
