>Steve_Grob: AFG 8G FAG +14 14
>Patrick_Beatrez: ABEHMPV 7H BAH +17 17
#note No good options here so I tried to keep it tight. 7F BEMA for 24 or H7 V(A)MP were my other main considerations, but I decided that if I'm going to keep a bad leave I may as well score something. I didn't want to keep HPV with BEMA but it's probably better than BAH. Playing BAH under FAG for 20 instead of 17 is definitely better.
>Steve_Grob: EPZ 6I ZEP +36 50
>Patrick_Beatrez: EFHIMPV 9F FEH +24 41
#note Tough decision between 9D FIVE and 9F FEH. HMP has decent synergy, but 7 points is a lot to give up and I am okay with continuing the staircase with my dreadful rack.
>Steve_Grob: ISTU L3 TUIS +23 73
>Patrick_Beatrez: AAIMOPV M2 MAP +22 63
#note Definitely don't want to open anything else up. 10E PAM scores 2 more but leaves the ETUIS hook and opens somewhat easier spots. I keep AVO for a potential overlap of MAP if he leaves it and plays somewhere else.
>Steve_Grob: IJNS N1 JINS +38 111
>Patrick_Beatrez: ?AIIOVX O1 OX +66 129
>Steve_Grob: AEGTU 10H TEGUA +19 130
>Patrick_Beatrez: ?AEIIKV 10C KIVA +20 149
#note Looks best, I need to try to open the board up now that I have a blank.
>Steve_Grob: DEIM 11I DIME +30 160
>Patrick_Beatrez: ?AEEIOT C10 .ETA +16 165
#note E10 VOE or VITAE look better to not risk staying in vowel land.
>Steve_Grob: OY D12 OY +19 179
>Patrick_Beatrez: ?AEIILO E10 .IE +15 180
>Steve_Grob: Y J5 Y.. +9 188
>Patrick_Beatrez: ?AEILOR D6 AIOL. +6 186
#note At this point I can't tell if he has really good tiles and doesn't want to open, or has garbage and is fine with making short dinky plays. Either way, I have the blank and need to open it up before he can clean up his potentially bad rack. AIOLI isn't even that bad on equity, and he shouldn't have an easy way to prevent me from bingoing on my next turn if I have a decent draw.
>Steve_Grob: CEGINU C2 CUEING +29 217
>Patrick_Beatrez: ?EENORR 9L NOR +7 193
#note ONERIER doesn't fit and I wasn't sure of ENROBER, and I knew *ENCORERS was no good but couldn't come up with the valid angram RECENSOR. RE(C)KONER is 72, but ENROBER for 70 and keeping the board tight looks best.
>Steve_Grob: OTW 8M WOT +25 242
>Patrick_Beatrez: ?DEEERW E2 REnEWED +83 276
#note 2A RE(C)hEWED is 92 and I wouldn't have been certain of it. He blocked WEEDIER/NORI, so RENEWED/RESEWED is next best.
>Steve_Grob: ENQ 3B Q.E.N +14 256
>Patrick_Beatrez: ALLORRV D1 VO. +15 291
#note Not a very inspiring play, but I want to keep this as closed as I can and make him have to open.
>Steve_Grob: IS G3 SI +19 275
>Patrick_Beatrez: ?ACLLRR N7 C..AL +9 300
#note Champ wants me to exchange RR for some reason, I don't understand why that would be better than C(OR)AL or C(OR)RAL.
>Steve_Grob: N J10 ..N +4 279
>Patrick_Beatrez: ?DLORRU O10 DOUR +11 311
#note Champ likes O11 ODoUR the best leaving 1 in the bag and not giving him the chance to easily fish again. I considered ODOUR, DOUR, and DOUReR/LOUDeR. I liked that DOURER/LOUDER empty the bag and force him to bingo on this turn, and DOUR is bad for exactly what happened in the game.
>Steve_Grob: T 11B T. +2 281
>Patrick_Beatrez: ?BDLORR A7 DOBRa +23 334
#note A in the bag he won't have a playable bingo, E he won't have any playable bingo, I he will only have bingos on the A column, L he will have both spots, N he will only have bingos on the A column, R he will have both spots, S he will only have A column, and T he will only have A column. So, when I block the A column I lose 2/8 to RETSINA and ELASTIN.
>Steve_Grob: AEINRST 13G RETSINA +73 354
#note 1 more with DOURA.
>Steve_Grob: (LLR) +6 360
