>boshvark: GIOOOSZ 9C GI +16 64
>joey: AEELOST I1 OLEATES +63 71
#note [Joey] A little risky to play this given the fishy nature of his previous play. At least he probably won't score much for a non-bingo.
>boshvark: AOOOSWZ 1F WAZ.O +51 115
#note [Joey] So much for that logic. He did mention that he kept the Z after GI but not the W.
>joey: ABCGNPV 6H B.CAP +22 93
#note [Joey] It was this or PAVAN. BCG felt a lot harder to trudge through than GNV.
>boshvark: ?EIOOSU K1 SOU +21 136
#note [Mike] I spent a lot of time deciding between SOU and LOUIES. After deciding on LOUIES, I pretty much laid down my entire rack on the board before realizing that forming OO was not a good idea.
>joey: EEEGNOV 2B VENGE +29 122
#note [Joey] I really wanted an excuse not to play this, but all other options were so much worse. Except of course for GENEVA, which essentially accomplishes the same thing more safely.
#note [Mike] Since Joey had seen most of my rack and no A, I thought this was a brilliant setup. He told me after the game that he didn't have an A either!
>boshvark: ?EEIIOR B2 .IREO +10 146
#note [Mike] To my great surprise, Macondo thinks this play is pretty close with 4I AERIE. I also considered 2K OORIE but if he has the A, I didn't want to create two setups for him to use them both. Interestingly, adding opp-rack inference with Joey having an A, Macondo has a strong preference for OORIE.
>joey: CDEGOWY A6 WEDGY +44 166
#note [Joey] That was a godsend.
>boshvark: ?DEIIUV L5 U.DIVE +13 159
#note [Mike] This was just an absolute miss of multiple better plays, including AUDITIVE from the A. I saw the possibility of REDUVIID which didn't play anywhere, forgot to look at the BANI spot on this turn to see DIVE, and was running lower on time than I liked. I decided on UPDIVE and put it on the board before realizing that it didn't hit any bonus squares. At that point, I just played it and hoped for the best.
>joey: AACLOSU 10E ACAULOS. +68 234
>boshvark: ?IMNORT 11C RIM +18 177
#note [Mike] I thought about UNTRIM, liked it, was pretty sure I knew it, but then chickened out on it. It would have been a much better play.
>joey: ?AIJMRT A1 JAM +50 284
#note [Joey] Yeah, VENGE worked out pretty good.
>boshvark: ?ILNOPT 12E PONTILs +66 243
>joey: ?DEIRTY C1 Y.R +22 306
#note He took my spot, so plan B was a little unclear. Even though I had the blank, I wanted to make him open the board instead of playing something like TIDY.
>boshvark: AEEFNST 5K F.N +22 265
>joey: ?DEITTT C5 TET +12 318
#note [Joey] Not much I could do with FUN, since triple T's are rarely FUN. This seems fine.
>boshvark: AEEHSTX H12 .EXT +33 298
>joey: ?DIIRRT N5 DIRTIeR +67 385
>boshvark: AEEHLNS 14F HE. +21 319
#note [Mike] To my great surprise again, HEX sims best in Macondo with about a 9% win percentage, double the second-best play of 13K HEN. I wanted to preserve potential 8s ending in EST or IST, but was low enough on time that I didn't look to see if any were actually available.
>joey: BDFKNOR B11 BORK +28 413
#note [Joey] If the A is in the bag, he has THEELINS of all things. FRONT would assure that doesn't happen.
>boshvark: AEEILNS 15A ISLE +26 345
#note [Mike] Sadly, I blocked my own bingos through the X and the T.
