>Arie_Sinke: ?KLLMOV 8G VOLK +22 22
#note This is clearly best.
>Karl_Higby: UY J6 YU. +18 18
>Arie_Sinke: ?EILMOT K1 MOTILEs +72 94
#note Bad play. fILEMOT and MElILOT in the same spot are 73. No reason not to snag that extra point.
>Karl_Higby: AEEZ 2J Z.EAE +68 86
>Arie_Sinke: DIIORTT L4 DIT +22 116
#note This is clearly right.
>Karl_Higby: BDIN I7 B.IND +19 105
>Arie_Sinke: ADIOPRT H11 APORT +33 149
#note This or ADOPT. I didn't see ADOPT. It's probably a smidgeon better. DI is nicer than IR. Very sad that PAROTOID got blocked.
>Karl_Higby: QT M1 Q.T +24 129
>Arie_Sinke: CDIRTUU G11 CUD +23 172
#note Didn't see CUTUP 12D for 18. The sim likes my play but my gut says that the improved leave after CUTUP is worth the five point sacrifice.
>Karl_Higby: ?AFIMNO 15F aN.IFOAM +63 192
>Arie_Sinke: GIPRRTU K9 PRURIG. +20 192
#note This wins the sim. Anything else is a huge sacrifice positionally. UPGIRT 14A is the best alternative; it scores more and keeps a better one tile leave but on a closed board giving back the U is a huge liability.
>Karl_Higby: CLOTU 14B CLOUT +21 213
>Arie_Sinke: EGIINTY J2 .IG +20 212
#note The sim loves IVY G7, which seems like it bingos enough to be worth giving up 6 points. My strategy was to keep it tight here, and it would probably have been better to be more aggressive. I looked into IVY but eschewed it, and I don't think I considered how often I will get a seven from E1.
>Karl_Higby: OX 15C OX +36 249
>Arie_Sinke: AEINTWY 1M .AT +38 250
#note Worth it for the points.

>Karl_Higby: AEGNORR -- -41 249
>Arie_Sinke: EILNNWY 13J W.NY +20 270
#note Huge miss of (DO)WN(I)LY 13G for 36 here.
>Karl_Higby: EFGNOS 10B GONEFS +29 278
>Arie_Sinke: EIILNRW 9C WIRE +29 299
#note Talked myself out of WIRELINE E3 here. Huge miss.
>Karl_Higby: AAEE 12J A.EAE +24 302
>Arie_Sinke: AHIIJLN D8 J..NI +40 339
#note Best by far.
>Karl_Higby: ADEENRS N5 SERENAD. +63 365
>Arie_Sinke: ABEHILS O8 HALE +43 382
#note This is my winningest pre-endgame play. In theory, it should lose if I draw the V. Anything else should put me far enough ahead to outrun. BILES O4 loses with a V draw and ties one other endgame, if Quackle can be trusted.
>Karl_Higby: AEEHORS 5K ..E. +4 369
>Arie_Sinke: BISV 10K .IV.. +8 390
#note LIES was a good way to block both VIS O4 and QATS M1, but it actually loses after optimal play from me. Karl's best move in this position is ASHORE E5, which simply scores and goes out before I have a chance to. RIVAL is also in theory a game losing move. Karl can win after RIVAL by playing ENS 11C. The key is to realize that I only have one spot for the B (BIT 3J) after ENS and that if he retains the O I can't play it without setting him up for OBIT plays. My best play in this position is VIS 12C, which threates to go out with BI in two place and will always score enough to win.
>Karl_Higby: AEHORS 11C O.E +18 387
>Arie_Sinke: BS 3I B.. +8 398
#note I correctly identified that I now had to play the B immediately.
>Karl_Higby: AHRS M7 AH +18 405
>Arie_Sinke: S C9 ...S +9 407
#note I have a higher scoring out - ARS/SHALE at 7M scores two more.
>Arie_Sinke: (RS) +4 411
