>Patrick_Beatrez: EIMOPTX H7 POX +24 24
#note I considered mainly MOXIE or POX here. I didn't spot MPOX, which actually could make sense to leave off the M and keep the hook for next turn. Sim puts MPOX and POX as neck and neck, both about half a point better than MOXIE. However, POX is only this good if I see MPOX, which I didn't.
>Jason_Idalski: DUW I8 WUD +23 23
>Patrick_Beatrez: DEGIIMT J4 MIDGE +19 43
#note MIG/MIDGET/TIMID/MIDGE look good with MPOX scoring pretty well and turning over the rack. MIDGE/OWE is a weak play and I should probably just play MIDGET in the same spot if I'm going to do that.
>Jason_Idalski: IIIII -IIIII +0 23
>Patrick_Beatrez: DEILOST K8 DOLT +18 61
#note Annoying rack, but I should just play K4 OD for 16 keeping EILST and probably bingo next turn.
>Jason_Idalski: ENPRRSU G6 PUR +20 43
#note He saw SPURNER and I blocked his spot to play it, but he still had PRUNERS and SMIDGE/DOLTS available. Luckily I blocked it with my suboptimal last play since I would have probably challenged SPURNER.
>Patrick_Beatrez: AACEHIS F8 CHIA +23 84
#note No R for ARCHAISE, 4G CHA(M)ISA or 4G HAE(M)IC have to be better. I didn't see I3 CHAI for one more point, but I didn't want to block SMIDGE while I'm holding an S.
>Jason_Idalski: III -III +0 43
>Patrick_Beatrez: ?AEIJOS 5A fEIJOAS +82 166
#note Missing the CHIAO hook to score 6 more.
>Jason_Idalski: ENORSSU B4 N.UROSES +62 105
#note Missing RES(I)NOUS for 70 and much more defensive placement.
>Patrick_Beatrez: AACGIRZ E11 ZAG +48 214
#note A7 AGARIC for 53 and holding the Z with a hot spot available is clearly better. I didn't spot the word.
>Jason_Idalski: ENNO A8 NONE +24 129
>Patrick_Beatrez: ABCILNR D12 BANC +33 247
#note This is much better than anything else on equity, so I decided to go for it and keep the scoring pressure on. I don't like that this helps open the board that currently is not conducive for bingoing, but it is such a good equity play that I still decided to go for it. His last play of NONE doesn't really allow me to infer the rest of his rack, besides that he probably doesn't have scoring tiles. He could have left bad one pointers or good bingo tiles. I still like BANC.
>Jason_Idalski: BINR K2 BRIN +20 149
>Patrick_Beatrez: AEILORR 15D .OALIER +27 274
#note Missing (C)ARRIOLE which would've iced the game. I deserve to lose for missing a play like that. I'm still extremely like to win this game, but this would've taken any small % to lose out of the equation. Sim still puts me around 98% to win this game even with the bingo miss.
>Jason_Idalski: HO C13 HO +26 175
>Patrick_Beatrez: AFKNQRW 14I WANK +22 296
#note This is a really ugly draw but at least I can score with it. I went for WANK to get rid of as much of it as I can, but several other plays look better especially at this scoreline. Just dropping the Q is possible to block off the bottom of the board, 14H KNAR keeping FQW but drawing into vowels looks nice, and 14F KA for 34 puts me up by 132. WANK isn't a bad play but it opens up potential for him to bingo twice, which he probably needs to get back into the game here.
>Jason_Idalski: AEEILTV 2F EVITA.LE +67 242
#note Only bingo. Scored as 65 during the game.
>Patrick_Beatrez: EEFFOQR H1 Q. +33 329
#note QI has to be better than F(I)EF, the Fs aren't bad tiles here especially with 14F still available and the Q is awful.
>Jason_Idalski: ?AEGSTY M8 GYrATES +90 332
#note Ow.
>Patrick_Beatrez: EEEFFOR 1M OFF +29 358
#note Champ still only put him at 30% after two straight bingos and just about tying the game up. This is a really tricky end of game scenario and I have a ton of options. Unfortunately I don't have a spot for OFFEREE. I can drop FE for 28 14F or 22 at B14, I have REEF or FREE at 13G, 1M OFF for 29, 1M FOE/FEE for 23, or 3M FOE/FEE for 22. The unseen pool has 6V/9C remaining with only one E, so I didn't mind keeping EEE after OFF and unlikely to draw two more vowels. I think 14F FE is the best way to go forward since he can't really hurt me on the top right of the board, and it keeps 1M FEE for 23 in reserve for next turn. Champ puts 14F FE at 82% to win, 13G REEF/FREE at 79%, and 1M OFF at 76%.
>Jason_Idalski: DIITTUY 4H TI..DITY +38 370
#note Great find, missing TUMIDITY which is a much better play but both are amazing words to find. Champ likes D5 (J)UT the best for some reason, I don't understand that play at all especially since it leaves me at a 16 point lead. JUT leaves 3 tiles in the bag but I don't have to play many tiles to score okay on this board. (J)UT can draw into (F)ETIDITY or (F)IDELITY. Either way, TIMIDITY gives him a chance here and especially gives me a chance to make a mistake.
>Patrick_Beatrez: EEEEIMR O3 E.RIE +8 366
#note Nightmare draw and sequence. I found the only out in 2 which I thought won by 1 point, but in the recount we discovered the 2 points shorted with EVITABLE and it flipped the game to his favor. I had considered 6J *(D)EEMER going out in 2, which would have tied after the recount had we spotted G(UV) then (R)I(V)E, however he has a better play of (Y)U(R)TA for 24 followd by my 10K (L)I(R)E for 5 that has him win by 1 after the recount. He would have challenged *DEEMER if he couldn't win, which with our score he would've seen himself losing even if he saw the best sequence, so it wouldn't have worked.

Turns out, I had a better endgame available from the start but I had missed a key detail. I can start with my best scoring placement of 13I EME for 20, forcing him to block my out with E(Y)RIE with (G)UV for 21. I can then play (POX)IER for 19, he has to play RA(J) or TA(J) for 20, then I go out with (BRIN)E/(D)E for 10 points and we tie 414-414! I saw the BRINE spot but did not see POXIER, so this would have been a better endgame even if the score had been correct.

Overall, I did deserve to get into trouble in this game after my misses of AGARIC and CARRIOLE, as well as the CHIAO hook.
>Jason_Idalski: ALRTUV 13H VATU +20 390
