>Arie_Sinke: DEMNPRT 8G PERM +16 16
#note It's hard to play these one vowel opening racks with no reasonable fives available. Of all the fours available to me (TEMP, MEND, PEND) this is the only one that doesn't take any hooks other than an S, which may explain why it wins the sim.
>Jeffrey_Nelson: ?EGILUY 9C GUYLInE +73 73
>Arie_Sinke: DEHNOQT D8 Q.OTH +54 70
#note No other options here. Hanging the A hook is unfortunate but necessary. QUOTED gives up too much equity.
>Jeffrey_Nelson: ?AADENW K5 WEAsAND +98 171
>Arie_Sinke: DEGLNST L4 GELD +22 92
#note Not sure what to do here. I would probably opt for GLED J3 on a do-over. I want the board to remain open for the medium/long term, so the O hook that GLED creates for OGLED is probably my friend here. I could also try some pure fish with something like GEL or GLED/GELD through the E in WEAsAND.
>Jeffrey_Nelson: AEU 13C EAU +24 195
>Arie_Sinke: DNNNSTV -DNNV +0 92
#note This is forced. VELDT 6J is interesting but not my style and not Quackle's style either.

>Jeffrey_Nelson: AGILMNT 14E MALTING +68 289
>Arie_Sinke: AAERSTU O4 ARET.USA +62 199
#note Only bingo.
>Jeffrey_Nelson: ETY H12 YE.T +33 322
>Arie_Sinke: BEEORRW B11 WEBER +26 225
#note This seems like a strange play, and Quackle isn't helpful here. I thought this was probably the most interesting play of the game. I'm behind by over 100 and there is almost nowhere on the board to bingo (certainly nowhere to play a seven or an eight.) I thought my best odds would be to throw caution to the wind and create a spot on the left. Jeffrey could block, but most plays from A8 would leave another opening. This is my attempt to make the best of the <1% chance I realistically have left of winning this game. Quackle is useless to evaluate this, but I like it - my only question is if the lower scoring ROBE in the same spot would be a better execution of the same idea. I doubt it, the W is not my friend here.
>Jeffrey_Nelson: EPZ 15A P.EZ +75 397
>Arie_Sinke: ABJORRX N11 BORAX +32 257
#note Maybe I'll draw into JANITOR or something. No other play gives me more hope.
>Jeffrey_Nelson: KO M13 OK +22 419
>Arie_Sinke: DIJNORR A8 DINO +20 277
#note Abandoning all hope of a miracle win at this point. I scuttle my own setup so my opponent can't use it. My guess is that this is a bad play and I would be better served to play XI 15N - get a few easy points and prevent Jeffrey from getting them.

#note Good rack, too late. DERE C12 looks like a better play to hang onto some vowels going into the endgame.
