#note Sims best.

>Jared_Cappel: ?ELNRSV J7 SiLVERN +73 111
>Morris_Greenberg: AOUUVYY I11 YOU +17 40
#note I missed UVU(LA), though I do like keeping the spot open for _AV words. This sims pretty similar to exchanging all 7 and exchange 6 keepping the Y, both of which I considered.
>Jared_Cappel: AEINSWZ K11 ZA +55 166
#note ZEIN to set up the S sims 1.5-2% WP% better, which makes sense, even with my lead.
>Morris_Greenberg: ABHUUVY H13 HUB +30 70
#note BUY might be better here for having the Y as the bingo lane here.
>Jared_Cappel: EINOPSW 9C POW +22 188
#note Sims neck and neck with PEW. 9E WO also a consideration.
>Morris_Greenberg: ?AFIUVY F6 V.. +21 91
#note This is the top simming play, it seemed a tad weird, but in reality, I am down a lot and slowing down the game seems useful if I want to come back.
>Jared_Cappel: EEFIINS 10B FIE +24 212
>Morris_Greenberg: ?AFITUY 9I F.UTY +19 110
#note Oh geez, I missed (B)eAUTIFY, I was not thinking of the blank as a vowel here. I didn't love blocking the (IN) here as that is a sneaky good lane, but figured I can instead use that area to reshape the top of the board. I thought (F)IFTY was counter-productive for long-term bingoing potential, but Quackle likes it more than F(L)UTY too.
>Jared_Cappel: EEINNRS 15H .EN +5 217
#note NEB seems to block better to eliminate most YOU(S)E bingos. I can't see myself ever playing Quackle's top play of FINER B10 which doesn't accomplish what I want.
>Morris_Greenberg: ?AGIJST 8M AJI +35 145
#note After (B)EN, I start to think (YOU)S(E) and -O(U)S words might be the best path to victory long-term, as long as in the interim, I narrow the game to within 1 bingo.
>Jared_Cappel: ACEINRS N6 RA. +12 229
#note FINCA or PIANIC down the B or C column sim best. I wanted to obstruct the I at least partly with the hopes of playing through the I to completely kill the lane on the next turn. The other play I was considering was (C)AY, which sims a bit behind my play. It leaves well but doesn't accomplish that much. This was a really tough turn but as RAJ doesn't block all that well, FINCA is looking better to me. Still, my play sims decently.
>Morris_Greenberg: ?GGRSTT 7M G.T +17 162
#note On the new theme of the game, I figure it is important for me to use this spot before Jared, saving the possibility of (HUN)GER next turn if I draw an E.
>Jared_Cappel: CEIMNOS 11D SOC +17 246
#note I used up a lot of clock, failing to find candidate plays. (We were playing with 20 minute clocks and I was getting low on clock quite early). Somehow I missed plays like MO or NO and OYEZ which seem pretty obvious in hindsight. I also missed (PI)ONIC and (WOE)SOME. My play sims not too badly despite it feeling awful at the time.
>Morris_Greenberg: ?EGPRST 13H ...GER +33 195
>Jared_Cappel: AEHIIMN 14L MEH +22 268
#note I missed plays like E(C)HINI or A(C)INI which sim best. I did see ACINI later in the game when it no longer fit. I was a bit worried about a play like QUASI/QUEST and HUNGER which would score I think 79. I was really low on clock and made a MEH play. Once again, my play sims decently but there are better options here unless I have a reason to put him on a rack like QUASI or QUEST.
>Morris_Greenberg: ?AIPSST 15L SPIT +37 232
>Jared_Cappel: AAIIKNN G11 KA +16 284
#note ACINI should be the play. Funny that I did not see that option until it no longer fit. Once again my play sims okay but not at the top. A recurring theme.
>Morris_Greenberg: ?AEOOST I6 O. +2 234
#note I first laid down OE/O(KA) 10G, but thought that would usually cause Jared to block the U in HUB. I would've loved to play off a second vowel here, as LACTEO(U)S is the only word I am hitting here, but figured it was more imperitive to keep bingo lanes alive at the cost of immediate bingoing chances in the unlikely case where Jared doesn't block.
>Jared_Cappel: AAIINNR 5I RAIN +11 295
#note Here's where I tried to play ACINI and IA but fortunately noticed IA* and picked my tiles back up. My play is actually simming best.
>Morris_Greenberg: ?AEOQST 4K QAT +39 273
#note Wow, Quackle has me as above 50% to win after this play.
>Jared_Cappel: AGIILNR 3L GAIN +18 313
#note I was super low on clock here, but still FILING feels like an easy find.
>Morris_Greenberg: ?EEEORS O1 ER.E +15 288
#note I think Quackle is misevaluating the position, slightly prefering RE(N)O in the same spot or OSE 10L, which feel impractical to me given how Jared is playing. If you assume Jared makes a D(RAIN) play to open the board, those it bingos a bit more often, but I can't see Jared playing that way, and this preserves the O(U)S possibilities.
>Jared_Cappel: CILMRU 1L MIC. +11 324
#note Was too low on clock to keep racks so unsure of 7th tile. Had to take out this lane I felt, but probably want to keep the C for scoring or defense later. (I first put down MUCE* but thankfully picked it up). I had seen YOUSE possibilties but it never clicked that it was a bingo lane, even though -OUS is a pretty common word ending. Quackle suggests B10 FILUM. Unsure. The pool has all 0-2 point tiles and so taking out the best bingo lane feels good. Although an argument is made that Morris wilil be looking for -OUS endings thinking correctly I was missing the lane.
>Morris_Greenberg: ?DDEOST H1 DOTED +30 318
>Jared_Cappel: BILRU G2 LIB +15 339
#note Didn't record the rack but this felt like a clear play at the time. BUR is simming better with my 5 tile rack but it's possible I had another I?
>Morris_Greenberg: ?DELOST 14E TOL.S +15 333
#note No wins per Quackle, (F)LOuT loses by 1. We were playing a 20 minute game here, and I decided to go over to look for bingos through the (IT) and O(U)S bingos, to no avail. I went 3 minutes over in the end as a result.
>Jared_Cappel: ADEINRU 15A RUINED +29 368
#note Best. But a very easy play. Nice attempt by Morris to claw back in this game. I let the clock get the better of me in this one and panicked into some mediocre plays. Felt like I had a lot of hard turns in a row. Thankfully, despite a lot of "MEH" plays, I didn't seem to have a major blunder, and that seemed to be enough to hold onto the victory. Morris played the opposite in that he was much sharper and more consistent but had that one key blunder in missing BEAUTIFY for 98. This was a really instructive game I'm glad to have reviewed.
