#note Yea, I wasn't a fan of K11 J(A)VA here. I'm not sure why it sims better than my play if I get to keep my only vowel. Maybe K9 JAV(A) is fine because the 10J spot is not that dangerous after that play and I have a vowel at the bottom and top of the board to bail me out with a play like 2F WR(O)NG if I pick more consonants. K9 JAVA does look to be a bit stronger with respect to the leave and it giving a lot less back than K11 JAVA. #strategymedium

#note This was probably the most devastating position of the game and possibly the tournament. How on earth does NOT A SINGLE 1 of the 7 bingoes in this rack play on this board?! The only thing that did play before HEMLINE came down was INGESTA in the same spot. This isn't even that bad of a board for bingoes as several things could still play at O7, O8, or O9. I originally laid down TEASING at O6 and had to take it back because it formed NI*. Even Cesar was shocked after I showed him my entire rack and he spent quite a while seeing if any of the bingoes did play. After he just picked 7 tiles, it was apparent that I needed to score and keep pace instead of fishing. O4 TENIA is 6 more, but it's not like there's a boatload of Is and Ns left- only 1 of each. I liked this over 1A TING(E) as this board isn't closeable just yet.
