>Jared_Cappel: AEHIOSY 8G HOYA +20 20
#note Yes this placement telegraphs my S but I'm okay with that. The sim says this is good.
>Morris_Greenberg: BLMMNST 7I MM +23 23
#note I inferred an S from Jared's previous play (otherwise AHOY is much safer), which informed my choice here over the 9G placement or L(A)MB or B(A)LM. Quackle agrees when specifying the S inference.
>Jared_Cappel: EEGIQST 9F QI +18 38
>Morris_Greenberg: BHLNOST H5 BOH.S +32 55
#note Closed game ftw.
>Jared_Cappel: EEEGIST 10E GIE +25 63
>Morris_Greenberg: EILNOTT 11D TO +10 65
#note This is too impatient I think, (B)OLT or (B)LOT makes Jared's position brutal very often. If any fishing play, (MA)T looks better too, as blocking will almost always open a new lane.
>Jared_Cappel: EEENSTX 12D EX +33 96
>Morris_Greenberg: EEILNTW 13C EW +16 81
#note I considered LWEI C12 as well, I ultimately thought it was a bit too open. Quackle prefers WE 9J for 3 fewer, I think it may lead to fewer worst-case scenarios so that makes a lot of sense.
>Jared_Cappel: EENOSTV B10 VOTES +38 134
>Morris_Greenberg: ?EILNTU 5H .ULlETIN +68 149
>Jared_Cappel: AEELNTV O1 VALE.T +30 164
#note Neither Jared or I realized this was phony, all I thought about was the -INE extension. Valence is a word, bivalent and divalent are words, valent is not. JC: Whoops. Sure seemed like a word. I played it over LEVANT because I couldn't remember if LEVANTED was good. LEVANT sims best.
>Morris_Greenberg: AEORRRT 2M OR. +6 155
#note I thought ORR(A) was a bit too risky here for counterplay, this seemed more reasonable, especially since I will likely get one of the double word score or triple word score for a bingo if Jared uses the other. Quackle prefers ROAR(E)R by a good margin which makes sense considering no R's have been played.
>Jared_Cappel: AEINRSU L3 UN.ASIER +68 232
#note I saw the VALENTINE extension and TAURINES but this is best.
>Morris_Greenberg: ACERRTZ 8L .ZAR +39 194
>Jared_Cappel: AADELOR 1H RELOAD +27 259
>Morris_Greenberg: CEGLRTT 3J GL.T +18 212
>Jared_Cappel: AIJPRUY 10I PYU.IA +21 280
#note This was the one turn in the set I really wanted to analyze. I feel like JURY is pretty standard with a decent leave of PAIR but I thought the 8 lane starting in R (down the O column) would be a long term weakness. I knew Quackle would prefer JURY but PYURIA doesn't sim too far back so I'm actually okay with that. That said, I missed PRELOAD/PUJA. I had seen PRELOAD possibilites but whiffed on PUJA on this turn as I was so focused on my internal debate of PYURIA vs. JURY.
>Morris_Greenberg: ACENPRT K9 P.N +14 226
#note I considered a bunch of things, but ultimately figured this was the necessary play. Quackle agrees. My most fun idea though was AR(O) to go for (EX)CEPTION since IO is one of the more probable 2 tile draws in the bag (but the problem is when I don't hit that, I am in such a dire position).
>Jared_Cappel: DIIJNRW N8 .J.R +11 291
#note Morris' fish signals he's close and so I wanted to block. Unfortunately my tiles are not conducive to a block here. After playing AJAR I saw that JAWAN in the same spot allows me to get rid of one more tile. Quackle prefers WINO at 6E but isn't considering the strength of Morris' rack after PUN.
>Morris_Greenberg: ACENORT 12G ENACTOR +76 302
>Jared_Cappel: DEFIINW 13G FEW +37 328
#note IF at 13F is the one play simming higher. The -WINED leave does go well for bingos under RELOAD. Not sure which play I prefer.
>Morris_Greenberg: EGIIKNS O11 EKING +47 349
#note I considered (NE)G or GENII/(NE)G too, ultimatel thought that was too risky. This and GENII are Quackle's two favorite plays, neck and neck.
>Jared_Cappel: ?DIINOU A14 OI +8 336
#note Playing off OI is the right decision but I played it in the wrong spot. I saw the OI spot at 2J but rightfully discounted that spot as it blocks potential -ED bingos. I needed to find the OI spot at 13K forming PUNTO. If I played that and Morris plays FASCIAE I can tie the game with BUDDYING if I draw BD out of the bag and not DD as I did draw.
>Morris_Greenberg: AACEFIS 2B FASCIAE +80 429
>Jared_Cappel: ?DDDINU - +0 336
#note Jared challenged, only chance to win. JC: Yeah, I was 95%+ confident on this one but my DD draw didn't hit (and even if I drew a B I was going to lose by 3 because I didn't play the PUNTO OI play). Nice comeback by Morris!
>Morris_Greenberg: B C2 .B +8 437
>Morris_Greenberg: (?DDDINU) +18 455
