>Steve_Grob: AEIKLOR 8G OARLIKE +82 82
#note September 15, 2024 Galesburg, Illinois WGPO Tournament. Round 6. Looks best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: CEGILLN 9B CELLING +68 68
#note Seems fine.
>Steve_Grob: AHIO 7L OHIA +26 108
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEELOST B7 LO.ATEES +74 142
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEELOST -- -74 68
#note I saw OLEATES, but talked myself into LOCATEES* because RELOCATEES is good. I need to stop mixing up 7's/8's and 9's.
>Steve_Grob: AFM 9K FAM +34 142
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEELOST 7B OLEATES +67 135
#note Looks best.
>Steve_Grob: AB 6M AB +29 171
>Jonathan_Lindh: ACDIRWY 6B YAW +37 172
#note O7 AIRWAY for 48. YAW probably worked out better as I was able to crush the O column the next turn.
>Steve_Grob: NTU E4 TUN. +18 189
>Jonathan_Lindh: CDIORVZ O7 .ZOIC +48 220
#note Looking good.
>Steve_Grob: EINORST 4A SNOT.IER +70 259

>Steve_Grob: DOU A1 UDO. +15 274

#note VEERY or EVERY?
>Steve_Grob: ADM 3G M.AD +18 292
>Jonathan_Lindh: DGJNPRT - +0 284
#note Trade 7. Quackle likes trade 5 keeping RT, but I figured there was value in having every chance I could get in drawing one of the two blanks. There were also 3 unseen R's. Still not sure on this play.
>Steve_Grob: BE 3C BE +18 310
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?DEIINU J3 .UI +4 288
#note Very annoying no bingos played. Keeping RT may have helped, but then again, would I have drawn a blank?
>Steve_Grob: AHNST B9 .HANTS +38 348
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?DEINOX 11J EXONI. +41 329
#note Bingos still don't play. EXONIC looks good. I need to score.
>Steve_Grob: ?EFIORU 12J RIFE +37 385
#note Dodged a bullet, but I wasn't able to keep dodging them.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?DDEJPR 11A J.PED +30 359
#note Looks good.
>Steve_Grob: GUV 13M GUV +22 407
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?ADINRT 1G R.TAINeD +59 418
#note This is a bleak situation. As it turned out, I had no wins given Steve's actual rack. I considered bingoing on row 13, but looked at the pool and saw it would probably give back a big play to the triple. I concluded my only realistic chance was to bingo through the E, hope Steve drew dead, and go out with the 3 tiles in the bag next turn. Looking back on this play, I think I had the right idea. However, if I am going to bingo through the E, find the disconnected 9 UNTRAINED to win the TRAIN word prize during the tournament. Forgoing bingoing is a strong possibility as well by playing O13 VID for 21, keeping in range and hoping to draw a big out bingo to the D. I don't think it would have worked out in this case, though.
>Steve_Grob: ?EOPRSW 13E POWdERS +79 486
#note 14H PROWEsS for 84. If I don't play up top, Steve has EMPOWERS for a ton.
>Steve_Grob: (GRT) +8 494
