>Samuel_Kaplan: EIORTUV 8D VIRTU +24 24
#note Even with this being more defensive than VIRTUE, VIRTUE is still a little better. Not always great to leave 2 vowels like that. #strategysmall
>Jeffrey_Jacobson: ?EGHNPS E4 HElP.NGS +102 102
#note And I would still get double-doubled on like that for the 2nd game in a row. I already had to survive 1 of those last game. Will I be able to overcome a 2nd?
>Samuel_Kaplan: BEINOTW D3 BOW +31 55
#note Best play.
>Jeffrey_Jacobson: ADEW C2 WADE +37 139
#note Misscored as 36.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEEINOT B1 ION +21 76
#note OE is way too dangerous to play in this spot. EON is slightly better equity if I'm going to go there, but he had just the right tiles to hammer me.
>Jeffrey_Jacobson: MM A1 MM +38 177
#note Unlucky yet again. Basically only this and HM could really score this much in that spot with what I put there.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ADEEETU D11 ETUDE +16 92
>Jeffrey_Jacobson: RTU 15A TRU. +12 189
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEEILOR G2 AEROLI.E +61 153
#note Good thing this stayed open. I am not drawing well once again.
>Jeffrey_Jacobson: QT 2F Q.T +32 221
>Samuel_Kaplan: CDENORZ B10 CROZE. +46 199
#note I thought of doing 14D DOZED just to open up another volatile lane, but it's not worth it for 10 fewer points and leaving another consonant. Looks fine.
>Jeffrey_Jacobson: AKLY 1H ALKY +39 260
>Samuel_Kaplan: DIJNRUY 7G .NJURY +26 225
#note I definitely did not see the ALKYD hook on this play. Haven't played that badly this game, but this move was awful. L1 DJIN it is. #findinglarge
>Jeffrey_Jacobson: LV J6 L.V +8 268
>Samuel_Kaplan: AADEIIN 8L AIDE +24 249
#note His last play was not a good sign. Not that I really had that much of a choice. This was misscored as 22.
>Jeffrey_Jacobson: ?DEFNRS O3 DEFiN.RS +62 330
#note O8 (E)NSeRFED is a much better play for him for 86. Still not what I needed to see. Can't catch much of a break in this game or tournament for that matter.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AACIINO 2J IONIC +31 280
#note Ah, more vowels. Lovely.
>Jeffrey_Jacobson: OX N5 OX +54 384
#note And that's the 2nd time today I have been hit with a giant X play. This is beyond aggravating.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AAHIINT K4 HAI. +16 296
>Jeffrey_Jacobson: EFGIO 10J FOGIE. +20 404
>Samuel_Kaplan: AGINOTT 4K .ING. +29 325
>Jeffrey_Jacobson: AABEESS 11H BAES +21 425
>Samuel_Kaplan: AALOPTT 12F PLOT +14 339
#note H11 BLOAT is a couple more spread points, not that it really mattered much.
>Jeffrey_Jacobson: AES 13H SEA +13 438
#note I usually provide more commentary than what I gave, but other than missing the ALKYD hook, there's not much worth analyzing about this one. It wasn't even close the whole way. Congrats to Jeff on getting his 1st tournament win against me. Final score was recoreded as 443-337. 1-2 -154. Worst start after 3 games in a very long time. Time to enjoy some turkey chili for lunch!
