#player1 Samuel_Kaplan Samuel Kaplan
#player2 Eric_Goldstein Eric Goldstein
>Samuel_Kaplan: AAEMMRR 8H ARM +10 10
#note And we have 3 sets of duplicates to start this one. I did not know MARRAM which gets rid of all 3 sets of duplicates and scores 16 more.
>Eric_Goldstein: HOO 7H HOO +19 19
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEEMPRW 6J MEW +27 37
#note 6H AMP is definitely better as Eric doesn't score as much on average next turn. #visionmedium
>Eric_Goldstein: IS 9I SI +15 34
#note Uh oh...
>Samuel_Kaplan: ABEEIPR 5K BAE +23 60
#note Nothing I can do do stop Eric after he just telegraphed another S. Looks fine.
>Eric_Goldstein: AOR 4K ORA +25 59
>Samuel_Kaplan: EEIIPRR K9 PIER +17 77
#note Annoying rack again but nothing else is that great.
>Eric_Goldstein: IJNUY 12G INJU.Y +34 93
>Samuel_Kaplan: CEFINOR 3E COINFER +73 150
#note Funny thing about this play: Noah, Eric's son, had played COINFER with 2 blanks against Jay Levin in the game right next to us at roughly the same juncture!
>Eric_Goldstein: ACESSTU E3 .ACTUSES +74 167
#note I wasn't stopping him from bingoing because he also had CUESTAS and CAESTUS in several spots. This choice from him proved to be very helpful given what I picked next.
>Samuel_Kaplan: EKLLOQV 8A VOLK. +51 201
#note That saved me a lot.
>Eric_Goldstein: EEW 2H EEW +34 201
#note What a bold play from Eric. He mumbled underneath his breath that he might regret this.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AAEELLQ -AAEELQ +0 201
#note And I continue to not draw well this game. In fact, Eric is getting a monumental break here because by playing through this rack, I have no way to score much next turn. G11 QI was discarded here because I am going to need Row 13 to be open after I will be down after this turn. I esentially restrict Row 13 to being required to draw an S, which there's only 1 remaining. So I cannot afford to help Eric close down the board after he is likely to take Row 1.
>Eric_Goldstein: ?ADEINN 1B ANNElID +86 287
#note 1I DEANINg is 1 more for him, but you all get the idea.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ABEGNTY 4D B.NTY +44 245
#note Good board vision here. It's not worth it to fish with 3M BY if it's a whopping 20 less.
>Eric_Goldstein: HU 2A UH +20 307
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEEFGIT H12 .EIF +21 266
>Eric_Goldstein: ?AEGLRT 14C ALERT.nG +64 371
#note Wonderful. I mean he was bingoing no matter what, but still. It's one of those games where I just didn't have much of a chance. At least it's a less painful version of Round 5.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEGQSTU 15A QUA +38 304
>Eric_Goldstein: ATX 3A TAX +28 399
>Samuel_Kaplan: DEGIIST F9 DIG +14 318
#note D12 GI(L)D with the same tiles even though I'm unlikely to win this one. #visionlarge
>Eric_Goldstein: DOP D10 POD +17 416
>Samuel_Kaplan: EGINSTV 15J INVEST +42 360
#note I hate to do this but I don't see myself winning this one.
>Eric_Goldstein: AILLOOR A7 O.OLI +8 424
>Samuel_Kaplan: DEGTZ N12 ZED. +28 388
#note ZED plays at L8 for 5 more. #endgamesmall
>Eric_Goldstein: ALR O11 LAR +18 442
#note Another tough loss prevents me from having a chance to play for 1st. Now the best I can do is finish 3rd and maybe get high game with the high play. 4-3 +49.
