>Samuel_Kaplan: ADILNUZ 8E NAZI +26 26
#note Somewhat bizarre opening rack. I didn't love keeping the Z early on to bingo asap. I think ZIN might be a decent option if I want to have options underneath, but I felt the odds of Noah doing that were also pretty good an I don't have any reparallels underneath ZA. I didn't see UNLAID for 8 less which is also fine, but it doesn't set up the Z very well unless I play it at 8F which Noah won't leave open.
>Noah_Goldstein: ALY G6 LA.Y +21 21
#note Noah originally laid down FOZY then changed it to this.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ADELOUX 9D DOX. +26 52
#note I did see OXY in this spot but I wasn't willing to do that after Noah exposed an F. That would have given him great counterplay. Probably E7 UNAXED would have been a little better just because the X is a terrible tile to keep on this board too. #findingsmall
>Noah_Goldstein: EEFT 10C FETE +27 48
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEELRUU 11E ALE +25 77
#note Once again the Us keep finding their way on to my rack this tournament. It's reasonably close with ALEE and LUAU just because they get rid of another vowel but they also open up much bigger counterplay to Noah. C10 (F)EUAR seemed to aggressive at this score without an S in hand.
>Noah_Goldstein: GHIT C10 .IGHT +24 72
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEEQRUU F2 QUEUE +40 117
#note This is clearly best. Solves my U problem handily.
>Noah_Goldstein: ?EGIOOT I3 GOOIEsT +74 146
#note I might be down but I am not out. It just feels that way after what I went through last game against Verna.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AERRRRS 4C RAR.R +10 127
#note How the hell did I draw 3 more Rs? RR is so bad of a leave that this doesn't even sim that far back of 15A RASER just because I will also be down a tempo.
>Noah_Goldstein: IJK 5H K.JI +30 176
>Samuel_Kaplan: AAEINRS 14A RA.ANIES +70 197
#note Good that this stayed open. This is definitely safer than ARTESIAN and ANTISERA.
>Noah_Goldstein: CEO A12 CO.E +27 203
>Samuel_Kaplan: DIMPSSU L1 DUMPS +40 237
#note Looks great.
>Noah_Goldstein: AIV H12 VI.A +33 236
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?IINOST 1H TOlI.INS +122 359
#note I am thankful that I made a play where it is reasonably believable that I was not keeping another S just because it scored 40. Either way, I am very happy to find the only 3x3 that exists.
>Noah_Goldstein: GTW 13F TW.G +25 261
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEELNRT 12H .ARLET +21 380
#note Figured I'd accelerate the game by going through more tiles to reduce Noah's odds of a comeback. And if I'm going to float a vowel, Noah won't score much as he's got more after TWIG.
>Noah_Goldstein: BLO 3B LOB +18 279
>Samuel_Kaplan: DEENNVY 2A YEN +19 399
#note Yea, that's not staying open after Noah is possibly keeping the last S.
>Noah_Goldstein: HORW M9 WOR.H +30 309
>Samuel_Kaplan: ADEINPV N6 VAPED +35 434
#note O1 (S)PAVINED is 104. Dang it! #findingsad
>Noah_Goldstein: BDENOSU O7 BOND +48 357
>Samuel_Kaplan: CFIMN K11 F.IC +18 452
#note B11 MIC(A) is 6 spread points better. That's hard to spot.
>Noah_Goldstein: ESU 14M SUE +18 375
#note Nice way to rebound after Round 5 was awful. TOLIDINS was the play that allowed me to turn a close game into a relatively sure win. 4-2 +109.
