#note Here we go down the dark road of "Quackle is totally useless for the rest of this game and I don't have a clue". The idea here is HI blocks well enough and keeps SYNC and YIN if things go bad. The honest truth is I couldn't remember if SYN took an S (it doesn't) and even if I was certain I don't know if it's better. (Quackle says it's not, but what does it know in this position?)
