#player1 Peter_Schwartzman Peter Schwartzman
#player2 James James
>Peter_Schwartzman: BELMOQS -BMQ +0 0
#note Peter gave me his racks, so I'll comment on both of our plays:
Quackle likes just Ex. Q even though it only hits with 3 tiles? It makes many unique 8's, but I agree with Peter's intuition here.
>James: FKNRSYZ -FKNYZ +0 0
#note Maybe exchanging here is playing too scaredy. I felt like a bingo was coming and wanted a little more than the points from FRY or SKRY.
>Peter_Schwartzman: EILNOST 8F ENTOILS +66 66
#note Some 8B positions don't put vowels next to DL squares.
>James: AMRRSTW L4 WARM. +20 20
#note Should've played L8 (S)WARM instead to not put the A next to a DW.
>Peter_Schwartzman: ?AHQRVW I6 VR.W +15 81
#note Perhaps 7I WHA(M)? The leave is a lot worse (QRV?
>James: ?ORSTTU 3I TRUSTOr +75 95
#note 3G TOURiST was 2 more, but I feared the hooks and scoring spot at H1 it gave away. This turned out much worse though...
>Peter_Schwartzman: ?AABHQU O1 BU.QA +75 156
#note You know BU(r)QA is a good play when the next best option is BU(r)QAs for 0 more lol.
>James: EEGNNOO K5 NOE. +18 113
#note Seems good. 4D NONEGO is another consideration that I failed to find but sims worse anyways.
>Peter_Schwartzman: ?AEHLRT 10F HARsLET +79 235
#note Highest scoring bingo!
>James: AEEGNOZ H10 .EZONE +75 188
#note Take that!
>Peter_Schwartzman: DHIPPTU G13 HUP +27 262
>James: EEFGIOR F13 OF +33 221
#note 11K FOGIE gives away too much and scores less.
>Peter_Schwartzman: DGINNPT 15G ..NDING +12 274
#note Nice and defensive. The computer recommends 11K DIPT to score 10 more and obstruct the N column, but the moves that play off NDING aren't far behind.
>James: DEEGIOR 12H .EROED +32 253
>Peter_Schwartzman: CEIOPTY N5 TYPIC +22 296
#note More defense from Peter. The computer just likes the simple 4D COTYPE to score. I'm not that far behind, so ever point counts on this turn, even if it means opening the board a little. Another option is fishing the Y with G10 (A)Y, which hits 7's with 9 draws.
>James: AABGISV 11C VIGA +21 274
#note The computer wants me to not freak out and play 11E VIB(E), but since Peter has been playing more defensively, opportunities to score are going to become less frequent. I'd rather open in this position against a human opponent. A better option might've been VAGI or VIGA at 2F instead, setting up my A to go above the G and creating as S line for myself.
>Peter_Schwartzman: DEEILOS C9 DE.IL +22 318
#note Maybe leaving the VIGA opening alone and playing 13J EIDE for 1 more or O7 ED would lead to a more favorable position? I feel like DE(V)IL just create more annoying 7's lines.
>James: AABFISX O7 IF +34 308
#note I thought holding on to the X and scoring decent would be worth something but nope, just play 13L FAX and move on
>Peter_Schwartzman: EEIINOS 4H OI +5 323
#note Interesting placement. Quackle just likes taking the points with 11L OI instead.
>James: AABJMSX D8 MAX.S +50 358
>Peter_Schwartzman: EEINOSU M2 U.E +8 331
#note This sims best even though it looks pretty weird, especially not holding a hook to it
>James: AABCEEJ F5 AJE. +27 385
#note Looks good
>Peter_Schwartzman: DEINORS B4 DINEROS +78 409
>James: ABCGIKT A1 BATIK +46 431
#note A few wins here. I can either play 5E B(A)CK and leave 11K GAIT for myself next turn after AYE at A6. I can also block AYE with A5 or A3 GIB, then go out with TACK at 13L next turn. Tough sequences and I wish my endgames were better :(
>Peter_Schwartzman: AAELY A7 YA +26 435
#note B1 AY for spread
>James: CG K10 .C. +10 441
#note Pump-faked 13F C(OHO)G for a little scare :)
>Peter_Schwartzman: AEL 13L LEA +14 449
>Peter_Schwartzman: (G) +4 453
