#note Also FA 8G for 10 points leaving AEMNS looks god

>ken_Rubin: DIKLOTV E2 DIVOT +26 165
#note VOLK L2 for 28 points was the other play I was considering. I coud not see a clear reason to pick one over the other. DIVOT seemed slightly more defensive to me (putting the V on the 4 line, taking the WAIN fronthooks off the table, not opening up the right side of the board). I was also thinking I could score with my K on the next turn--including with OK on the L line.
>Joey_Krafchick: EILRRST F9 L...R +5 122
>ken_Rubin: EEEIKLO J2 KEEL +20 185
#note Quackle likes 4B KEEVE or or 4C KEVEL. I don't think I even generated these options for consideration which is bad, although I'm not sure I wouldn't have still played KEEL.

>ken_Rubin: AENOPRT N8 OPERANT +76 293
#note I didn't see M1 PATENTOR, otherwise I probably would have played it for defensive reasons. I don't like the idea of opening up a huge comeback scoring play with the triple on the O line. Opening up an S bingo through OPERANTS on the 15 line is another thing I would rather not do, although there aren't any esses left in the bag, so he would need to make the blank an S. Interestingly Quackle sees no difference between the two plays in terms of equity or winning percentage.
>Joey_Krafchick: CEINUWX O8 XI +58 257
>ken_Rubin: CDDEHIY O2 DICEY +30 323
#note I missed 13H CHIDDEN for 36 points which clearly looks to be best since it scores a lot of points, is defensive by congesting the lower part of the board, and keeps the Y for scoring on future turns--including with the RITZY back hook. However, I may have gotten lucky here because by playing RITZY/DICEY, I blocked WiNCEY from Joey on the next turn for 64 points (he pointed that out right after the game).

>Joey_Krafchick: ?CEMNRU 9B CUM +12 287
>ken_Rubin: ADFGHLU B6 GUL.H +23 377
#note Quackle says GULCH has the highest winning percentage (91%). I slightly prefer GULCH to GAUCH because I feel it makes it harder to bingo on the triple line. I'm worried about bingos with SCUM, so a play like B9 CHUG for 18 points which Quackle also likes seems reckless to me and not a great option.
>Joey_Krafchick: ?EGNRRU M6 .UG +16 303
>ken_Rubin: AAABDFL N1 FAB +26 403
#note Even though the computer says N1 FAB is best, this was a mistake. I had a concentration lapse and didn't realize that there were 3 tiles left in the bag, meaning I'm emptying the bag with this play. It turns out that I am up enough points so that even if Joey plays out with the only bingo in the bag (D14 ENsURER / LONERs), I still win by win point. But I hadn't done the calculation, and there is always the chance we got the score wrong earlier, so this is not a situation I want to be in when I can guarantee the win by NOT empying the bag. If I could do it again, I definitely would play N1 FA or N2 AB -- leaving 1 tile in the bag.
