#player2 Richard_Landau Richard Landau
>Samuel_Kaplan: DEFILOS 8D FOILED +28 28
#note OF and FOILED sim neck and neck and I considered both for a decent length of time. Since I don't know Richard's game at all, I figured I'd play on a board I am most comfortable playing on and force him to have to score very well to beat me.
>Richard_Landau: BEINV E7 B.VINE +22 22
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?AIKPSU D10 KAPU +36 64
#note I thought I was missing bingoes here, but there were none. This is best.
>Richard_Landau: AENP F10 PANE +35 57
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?AIOSTV H1 TrAVOIS. +92 156
#note Best by far. Nothing else is even close.
>Richard_Landau: IOZ 2F ZO.I +32 89
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEGIIRS 4H .IGIA +18 174
#note If I was behind, I'd be more inclined to do F2 GI(B). But it's generally not a great idea to fish while ahead, so I did this. Looks good.
>Richard_Landau: FLU 5K FLU +24 113
>Samuel_Kaplan: ABEEQRS 6G Q. +11 185
>Richard_Landau: EHN 1H .HEN +12 125
>Samuel_Kaplan: ABEERSY 3B YERBA +31 216
#note I did not know EYEBARS. That would have easily been the play at N2. Also, even though YERBA plays at N2 for 2 more, this sims ahead of that placement because him fishing off HEN for only 12 tells me he's grooming his rack nicely and I could give up huge plays on Column O. This way, if he uses any other FLUB hook (still several left in this pool) or the PANE hooks, he gives me good counterplay.
>Richard_Landau: DNO 2A NOD +21 146
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEEEELS 4C LEES +32 248
#note I am happy to burn my S here if it means scoring nearly 20 points more than my next best play, but the move should have been 14B EASEL for 34. That's a miss. #visionmedium
>Richard_Landau: AT 1A AT +18 164
>Samuel_Kaplan: AAEEJRR 3K RAJA +31 279
#note He is close to a bingo, but I can just keep outrunning at this point. Looks good.
>Richard_Landau: NTU C13 NUT +10 174
#note He could have played NUT at 14B for 17.
>Samuel_Kaplan: CDEEHRR 15A RE.CH +39 318
#note This turn could have been better. I saw RE(T)CHED but was unsure of it. I knew WRETCHED was good though. Also, if I can score 9 more with O3 HERDER, that is worth it too.
>Richard_Landau: DMRTTWY - +0 174
#note Not actual rack. Richard exchanged 7 tiles here. Not something I expected to see after he appeared to groom his rack for several turns.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?DEMRSY 5B DEMY +46 364
#note I saw O3 SEMiDRY for 101 but chickened out of it. I gotta be more confident sometimes. This is the best nonbingo, but still, #knowledgelarge
>Richard_Landau: ESTW O1 WEST +36 210
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?AGORSX 5K ...X +14 378
#note Probably 13F EX is fine. I will bingo just as often.
>Richard_Landau: DIOOT 9I OOTID +13 223
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?AGORSU N9 SAGUaRO +75 453
#note He's random enough that I can confidently take the points instead of playing scared with K7 OU(T)RAGeS.
>Richard_Landau: CELMNRT 15K REC.N +24 247
#note He can play an out in 2 if he does 12I CENTR(U)M.
>Samuel_Kaplan: EGIIORW 10J WO +28 481
#note For the purpose of taking away his only out play of L8 M(I)LT, I get a better 2-move score with this instead of 10J WE.
>Richard_Landau: LMT 13M L.M +8 255
#note He could have done 14B MU for 16.
>Samuel_Kaplan: EGIIR 11I REG +22 503
>Richard_Landau: T 2N T. +8 263
#note L9 (I)T is 1 more for him. Couple missed plays, but this is a game that I sorely needed to win and win big if I wanted to get myself back in this tournament after a rough start RESULTSWISE*. 1-2 +156.
>Richard_Landau: (II) +4 267
