>Jonathan_Lindh: DEFIIRS 8H IF +10 10
#note Close but no bingo. IF is fine.
>James_Donnelly: CEGIQRT 7H QI +29 29
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEEIRSW 6I DEW +16 26
#note Exch. W and 8G/I6 WIFE ae better than my play. DEW does give back a little more than those options.
>James_Donnelly: CEEGPRT 5J PEC +28 57
#note I thought the C would offer enough defensive merit to be worth it. Apparently not since PEG sims way ahead of PEC
>Jonathan_Lindh: EIORRSV M1 REVISOR +80 106
#note Best.
>James_Donnelly: EGNORTT 1L G.OT +21 78
>Jonathan_Lindh: DDINOOT 4I TOD +16 122
#note I like 2K TOED for 19 in retrospect more than my play.
>James_Donnelly: AEJNRTT 3H JET +20 98
#note Still looks better than 3G JEAN
>Jonathan_Lindh: CDGIMNO 2K CO.D +23 145
>James_Donnelly: AAENRST J8 SANTERA +67 165
#note Much more defensive compared to the 9I placement for 1 more in my opinion
>Jonathan_Lindh: FGIMNPW 12I M.WING +24 169
#note Considered 9I FAMING for 32 as well, but I'd figured I could save that spot for next turn. FP is pretty bad though, so I should just take the points now.
>James_Donnelly: BLRRSTV -BLRV +0 165
#note Don't think I considered L11 V(I)RL here but that looks pretty good
>Jonathan_Lindh: EFOPTUZ 9I F.ZE +35 204
#note Quackle likes M10 PONZU for 32 to obstruct the SANTERA hook and keep the F for the DIFF spot the next turn. Makes sense.
>James_Donnelly: INRSTYY 15E TYIYNS +44 209
#note I saw 8L TYIN right after I play this :(
>Jonathan_Lindh: ??OOPTU 11J .OP +24 228
#note I chickened out of 13C UPROOTER for 71. TOP is one of the best non-bingo plays and TOPO in the same spot is basically even with the bingos and actaully sims ahead of UPROOTER. 13C PULMOTOR for 75 is the best bingo.
>James_Donnelly: AILMORS E8 MORALIS. +70 279
#note I cringed when this came down, but James would have had ORALISM or SOLARIUM if I played a bingo.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ??LOOTU D3 LOokOUT +69 297
#note D4 TOlUOLE and OUTSOLE are 70 each, but I'm not going to spend that long on 2 blanks to come up with an extra point each in this situation. I need the time for the endgame.
>James_Donnelly: AAAAERV H1 RA. +30 309
#note Didn't spot the sneaky 13I A(R)EA before putting this down
>Jonathan_Lindh: ABEEGLU N10 BU.LE +28 325
#note I knew BARGEE but I don't think I knew 13H BAREGE for 41 which is weird because I should know it. Good one to put on the study list. That's best. BUGLE is #3. BUGLE played a key role im shaping the endgame.
>James_Donnelly: AAAAEIV 12A AVAI. +18 327
#note Still have A(R)EA...
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADEEGHN B10 HA.EN +38 363
#note 2nd best play. I thought I could pass on using the BUGLE hook by forgoing 15L HADE for 46, but Quackle thinks the pool isn't likely to bingo, and HAVEN creates a big X spot, which I don't have.
>James_Donnelly: AAEKNUU A7 KUNA +29 356
>Jonathan_Lindh: BDEEEGR C11 B.RE +22 385
#note Now I decide to block the big X spot I created a turn earlier with HAVEN and score some points. After the game, I wondered if I should have done BADE instead, which in this case would have worked out better, but BARE actually seems to sim ahead of BADE which I'm not sure I trust. I would think keeping the R offers more flexibility with the BUGLE hook but I could be wrong.
>James_Donnelly: AEIILUX O7 IXIA +37 393
#note No wins here but O7 IXIA forced Jon to find 13A H(ER)D(I)NG as the only win. I originally miscalculated and thought this lost to M15 EDH, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that it only scored 31 and not 34
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEEGHN 15M EDH +31 416
#note Oh geez, 13A HERDING for 22 and the win! That's very hard to see. I was not looking in that spot. HERDING blocks LURE. EDH was 2nd.
>James_Donnelly: ELU 13H LU.E +16 409
#note Only win.
