>Samuel_Kaplan: ?CELOQR -Q +0 0
#note Yea, CLOQUER* is not good. That's a given. I thought keeping the L increases my bingo chances and Quackle agrees. It does surprise me that I bingo 4% more often after 8D CLOQuE. In the end, it's just not worth it.
>Noah_Goldstein: ?AEHIOS 8D HOAgIES +76 76
#note This is Noah's only bingo, nice find.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?CELORW I7 W.LCOmER +68 68
#note I did not know COLEWORT which plays on Column E for 74 points.
>Noah_Goldstein: APX H13 PAX +42 118
#note Misscored as 43
>Samuel_Kaplan: ADDEISY J1 DAYSIDE. +74 142
#note Yes
>Noah_Goldstein: EGI 1G GIE. +18 136
>Samuel_Kaplan: EMOPRTU J14 MU +21 163
#note I spent quite a while looking for other bingoes besides COMPUTER, which would have been instantly played had the C been 1 spot further left. This looks like a great fish with how open this board is, but I did miss 11E PROM(O)TE for 44. Definitely a mistake. #findinglarge
>Noah_Goldstein: ACEILNT 4F CANI.TEL +72 208
#note But I wasn't stoping him from bingoing because he had ETHNICAL/CHATLINE for 76 as well as other ones.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ABEOPRT 3I B. +17 180
#note No home for PROBATE now that the S got blocked. I did not know 15J (U)PBORE this time. If it was a closer game, maybe I would have considered G13 OBA a little more.
>Noah_Goldstein: MOW G12 MOW +24 232
>Samuel_Kaplan: ADEOPRT L2 OP.RATED +62 242
#note This is surprisingly my only bingo because ADOPTER and READOPT don't play on this board.
>Noah_Goldstein: AEINQTU M9 ANTIQUE +88 320
#note Wowzer...I did not expect this to come down. Yep, it's a slugfest. Unlucky that the Q benefitted him greatly here when it was a liability on my opening rack. I guess it might not have been entirely bad considering he also had 15J UNIQUE for 48 until I gave him a spot for his bingo. Maybe this scoring pace is shaping up to be like the Chicago Cubs beating the Phillies 26-23 in 1922? This bit of baseball history is something that a future opponent of mine, David Firstman, would appreciate.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AINOSSZ 15L Z.IN +69 311
#note I almost drew HOATZINS!! This is clearly best and hopefully I can keep pace.
>Noah_Goldstein: ILOV M1 VIO. +24 344
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEIOOSS 1M .OE +18 329
#note I did not see 5H OS(I)E(R), but I like this better either way.
>Noah_Goldstein: EK 14M .KE +28 372
>Samuel_Kaplan: ABGIOSS K10 BIOGS +26 355
#note Looks fine.
>Noah_Goldstein: AEGUV N7 VAGUE +22 394
>Samuel_Kaplan: ADELSTU E8 .UTLEADS +68 423
#note Will my 4th bingo this game (technically 5 if you count ZEIN like a bingo due to the score) be enough?
>Noah_Goldstein: ARTY 15A TRAY. +36 430
>Samuel_Kaplan: EFFLNRR D12 FLE. +35 458
#note The good thing is I found 1 of my 2 winningest plays, with the other one being D11 EFF. They both win 3/8 times. The bad thing is, I got the worst possible draw.
>Noah_Goldstein: HIJNNOT 2F JOT +31 461
#note Noah has many wins because I just could not avoid the Rs. Even if he plays 10B NIN(T)H, the only effective block of 2F JOT that I have is G3 FA. I can't do G3 FAR because that gives him JOT for even more, and I can't do G4 ARF as Noah simply goes out with 2F JOT after that.
>Samuel_Kaplan: FNRRR F7 R.N +5 463
#note So now I'm forced to block 10B NIN(T)H.
>Noah_Goldstein: HINN 10B HIN. +15 476
>Samuel_Kaplan: FRR C9 F.R +10 473
#note This and 14C F(ED) net me the same spread.
>Noah_Goldstein: N 8N .N +6 482
#note 7I (WE)N(T) is 1 more for him. Very well played game on both sides, it's just unfortunate that one of us had to be on the wrong end of a slugfest. Sometimes one bad draw is all it takes to render my four bingoes and one big non-bingo not enough. Noah is going to be a star one day, he is getting himself up there fast! Final score was recoreded as 485-473. This is now my highest ever tournament loss. 0-2 -80.
>Noah_Goldstein: (R) +2 484
