#player1 Jonathan_Lindh Jonathan Lindh
#player2 Joel_Elkins Joel Elkins
>Jonathan_Lindh: EHIKPST 8D KITHE +34 34
#note 2024 Word Cup. Round 28. Initially saw KIP, and then saw this play. KITHE is #1, KIP is 2nd but it's only a 2-3 point difference which surprises me.
>Joel_Elkins: EGNORUY 7H YOUNGER +68 68
>Jonathan_Lindh: AIJPSTU O5 JUST +45 79
#note Quackle likes 9A PUJA for 27. I like JUST. Joel had an S and was going to score a ton so JUST was the play in this case.
>Joel_Elkins: ADFLM M3 FLAM.D +24 92
>Jonathan_Lindh: AAEIOPS 9G APO +21 100
#note K5 SENOPIA for 36 is the top play by a little bit but APO is fine too.
>Joel_Elkins: DEGIRST E4 RIDG.EST +90 182
#note RIDGIEST and RIGIDEST are the only double doubles.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AAEEFIS 4B FAE.IE +18 118
#note Seems fine.
>Joel_Elkins: GOO K4 GOO. +10 192
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AAEEIS L7 .AE +9 127
#note Joel blocked AGENESIA, which was fairly tilting. Scored as 8.
>Joel_Elkins: ?ELNNRU 11E .UNNELeR +64 256
#note This play was very tilting. 10I RUNNELS for 67 hooking GAEN was the only higher scoring play.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AEILST B1 LeA.IEST +74 201
#note The only play that has a realistic chance. Score a lot and open two big lanes. This was a common theme at South Bend and Albequerque. Fall behind early and be forced to mastermind gigantic comebacks.
>Joel_Elkins: CEOOR L1 COOER +36 292
#note Later that night, I wondered if Joel kept a V on his rack when he made this play. If he did, he had the very hard to see OVER(JUST) for 57.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DENOQUW L11 .OQUE +30 231
#note A8 ENDOW for 45. As it turned out, I think ROQUE may have given me more of a chance.
>Joel_Elkins: DISV H1 VIDS +38 330
>Jonathan_Lindh: CDHINNW 15G WHINN.D +42 273
#note I like WINCHED here. No need to phony. WHINNED* is a very hard challenge to make espcially since WHINED is available.
>Joel_Elkins: ABRY 1A B.ARY +33 363
>Joel_Elkins: ABRY -- -33 330
>Jonathan_Lindh: BCIPRTZ 1A C.IPT +36 309
#note Later that night, I realized I could have played 1A BLITZ for 51, and I thought it was a mistake. It turns out Quackle likes CLIPT a little bit better than BLITZ, probably for the same reasons I thought. The Z can score a lot with plays such as A8 ARROZ for 78. Looks like CLIPT wasn't a mistake.
>Joel_Elkins: AVY 1L .AVY +36 366
>Jonathan_Lindh: ABEINRZ A8 AZINE +51 360
#note Oof. Now this was the mistake. I missed 14B BRAIZE for 79. that gives me about 1 in 3 win chances. AZINE is about the 9th or 10th best play.
>Joel_Elkins: ABILRTX M12 XI +49 415
#note If I play BRAIZE, Joel still has 2 wins, the simplest of which being A8 AXIL keeping BRT to go out in a few spots.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ABEMORW 14B WOMERA +31 391
#note I don't know why Quackle doesn't find WOMERA. B12 WOMB for 27 is best by about 6 over WOMERA, but WOMERA isn't terrible. Nothing wins.
>Joel_Elkins: ABLRT 13C BAT +24 439
#note C3 BAT for 20 is 2 points better than 13C BAT.
>Jonathan_Lindh: B 3B .B +16 407
#note Best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: (LR) +4 411
#note Final score recorded as 439-410.
