#note He thought for a bit here, which I think made me think he could have a blank, though I don't think it affected my decision much.

#note Should maybe just have gone for BECLOG. Decent pool to draw to, the C isn't doing much here.

#note Feels like I didn't consider GRAHAM but also sort of like it might've flickered through my mind. I mostly considered CYMAR as an alternative to this. GRAHAM looks like the play to me.

#note Very good draw to CDMO, but I'm still in kind of a tenuous position here.

#note Took most of my clock (maybe 6 minutes?) to play this. First considered VANED, which I think I thought might win with a Z draw (turns out it doesn't, but I think Seth was low on time and could've missed the wins), but noticed near the end of my time that it potentially gave away a bunch of spread by opening IONIZES. Ended up going with this, which I thought wouldn't ever win, but actually it can win if I draw the E, in an endgame with some pretty tricky lines - I thought more about this game afterward, and eventually ended up postmorteming, I think mostly with Mack and Michael Fagen, though a few others may have watched / contributed as well. Quackle suggests that he just play ZEKS, after VElDT + E draw, but if he does block with KOS 6J, in the postmortem we saw RET 9I, which saves rAN 11J and a huge NA H14 if he makes his only Z play of TIZ. VEND looks like a win with a K draw, and is probably a more likely winner than VElDT, given Seth's plays up to this point. We may have found another 1/8 in the postmortem, but I don't think we were able to do any better. I think I saw rEDAN when thinking by myself, but we may not have discussed it together - that is also a 1/8. Similarly, Macondo gives ADmEN and DEcAN as wins, for a total of 5 1/8s, and DrAT 13D as a nonwinner that ties when the E is drawn, but nothing better than 1/8. Update 7/30/24: Cesar did his own run of Macondo peg to find that V(AT) L6 ties with an S draw, with the line ZONKEY-DEAN-AHI-pST - I'm guessing Quackle's suggested "win" of (E)EK loses to a stick sequence where I block ZEIN (I might have run macondo 4-ply on that endgame and also found it had trouble, which would make sense, since a stick endgame would probably need more plies). ZONKEY looks like a tricky play to find, so V(AT) seems like a good way to try for at least a 1/8 win against a human opponent.
