#note I liked obstruction EMOTICONS at least somewhat, so he can't end with an S now, and encouraging more plays southwestward, in hopes of eventually closing the quadrant off. I liked the potential of drawing into VOLED next turn.

#note vealed and pled were both very tempting at ways to close the spot, but they both offer potential forking plays that I didnt like - the V in vealed can be played through to fork open the 15 row and A column, and the D in pled similarly for the 15 row and A column. I preferred PLED of the two, because the V can have some defensive use, and especially because the bigger threat made by the forking play would also be the bigger scoring spot, whereas the 3x3 made after a forking play after VEALED would be the harder scoring spot to use, most likely. ALP is a more complete block cause it makes it way harder to make forking plays.
