#player1 Jonathan_Lindh Jonathan Lindh
#player2 Edwin_Roth Edwin Roth
>Jonathan_Lindh: AAEEFIU -AAEFIU +0 0
#note Looks fine.
>Edwin_Roth: EEEP 8H EPEE +12 12
>Jonathan_Lindh: BDEESST J6 BE.T +12 12
#note Weak play. L4 DEBTS for 26 is the play. Looked for 5's hooking EPEES, but whiffed on DEBTS for some reason.
>Edwin_Roth: ?EFILOR 6E FORcI.LE +64 76
#note I didn't realize EPEE took a T hook until now. Good to know that variation of TEEPEE (TEPEE).
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADEESSW L1 SEAWE.DS +86 98
#note Quackle likes my play over L5 SEESAWED for 84 which I also considered. Had Ed played something like LOFTIER/TEPEE, I would have have had SEAWEEDS as a massive double double with 3 overlaps.
>Edwin_Roth: ACDO 1H CODA. +24 100
>Jonathan_Lindh: BIIKNRT 5C BRIN +24 122
#note Close, but Quackle really likes BINIT in the same spot for 26. I guess I can see why.
>Edwin_Roth: JNTU 3K J.UNT +24 124
>Jonathan_Lindh: GIIIKTT O1 KI. +21 143
#note Rough draw. Ed would have had RITZ if I don't block the O column so KIT is fine.
>Edwin_Roth: AXZ 9F ZAX +29 153
>Jonathan_Lindh: GHIITTU D2 THI. +14 157
#note Chickened out of KITH. N4 UH for 26 is probably the play.
>Edwin_Roth: IQ 6B QI +35 188
>Jonathan_Lindh: EGGIPTU 7A GIG +26 183
#note GIG is 2nd best. 2B GETUP for 28 is best.
>Edwin_Roth: DENOR 3B DE.ORN +22 210
>Jonathan_Lindh: AELOPTU 10C OUTA +19 202
#note Quackle likes A7 GLUEPOT for 33 by a point or two over my play but my play is near the top. I did not like parting with one of the last E's and was concerned about Ed scoring a lot with all of the unseen A's.
>Edwin_Roth: UV A7 .UV +21 231
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AELMOP 11D MOP +36 238
#note This is where I likely blew the game. I could not come up with 11F PLEROMA for 84, that puts the game solidly within my control. N3 NEOPLASM for 73 is also available, but that sims pretty much even with my play. A bunch of options including my play are roughly 2nd behind PLEROMA.
>Edwin_Roth: FILM 12A FILM +40 271
#note Disaster strikes.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?ACEEHL A12 .ACE +27 265
#note There's another opportunity to play KITH again with 4N EH.
>Edwin_Roth: AADERUW - +0 271
#note Exchange 5. Not actual rack.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AAEHLO 13C AAH +24 289
#note 2A LOATHE for 39. Wasn't looking up there.
>Edwin_Roth: GIS 9A .IGS +24 295
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AELNOV C12 ..V +6 295
#note There weren't a lot of hooks in the unseen pool that fit onto LAV, and even if Ed had one, he might not be able to use it. Should just score with 14A COVE for 34. I was probably sunk regardless, though given Ed's next rack.
>Edwin_Roth: ELNRSTY 15C STERNLY +90 385
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AELNOO 7L .O +4 299
#note NAPOLEON and NAOLOXONE aren't going to win and they are not worth playing.
>Edwin_Roth: OW K3 .OW. +43 428
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AELNOU 14I ApOLUNE +67 366
#note Ran out of time (under a minute). 14I ALEURON is 71. I accidentally scored APOLUNE as 71 for some reason.
>Edwin_Roth: AINRRTY 13G RAY +24 452
#note N6 TRINARY for 68.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DE 15N ED +20 386
#note Best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: (TINR) +8 394
#note Final score recorded as 452-398 due to me overscoring APOLUNE.
