>Seth_Lipkin: EIILORT -IO +0 0
#note Not actual rack. Seth exchanged 2 tiles here and my guess is he exchanged IO which seems fine.
>Samuel_Kaplan: BCFNSUU 8G FUB +16 16
#note Definitely wasn't doing FUCUS after he just exchanged 2 tiles. I'm fine with a more defensive play not giving him as much to work with.
>Seth_Lipkin: EILNRTU G8 .UN +7 7
>Samuel_Kaplan: ACNRSUV I6 CU. +8 24
#note What a fun board this is. Already 3 of the 4 Us are seen. Will the 4th U be played next turn?
>Seth_Lipkin: DEEILRT 6C DERELI.T +65 72
#note I'm lucky he missed 11A RETILED for 9 more, although it has its own liabilities. So the 9 extra points would have been worth it.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ANORSVW D3 WOV.N +22 46
#note Keeps a nice leave and sets up my S for potential WOVENS plays.
>Seth_Lipkin: BEFHINT C2 FEH +33 105
#note Turns out he set up BINT at B1 which is #planningsolid on his end.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AIORRSV 8A VARS +37 83
#note Didn't like B1 VISOR with what that gave back to Seth, but the leave is pretty bad after VARS. Wasn't particularly fond of any options here despite how well they score.
>Seth_Lipkin: ABGINRT B1 BINT +34 139
#note Looks fine to dig for the blanks if he's scoring 26 more than his available fish of 4C (HO)B.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AIIOORT 5J IOTA +10 93
#note Nothing to score here. Not sure what I should be doing besides opening up more space on the board when behind.
>Seth_Lipkin: AACGQRZ 4K GAZAR +50 189
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?AIIOOR M3 I..R +26 119
#note I liked this play to fork the board.
>Seth_Lipkin: ?CJLPQY 3L Q. +23 212
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?AIKOOT 11D TAIKO +29 148
#note Let's open more space and fork again while I have the blank.
>Seth_Lipkin: ?ACJLPY 12C JAY +35 247
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?DMMOOR 13B MOM +37 185
#note Even though I did not see 12H MuDROOM, this does not sim too far behind. And for the record, I did ask Seth after the game what he thought of DORMROOM* and he would have challenged that. So I'm glad I didn't try it. There is a TEAROOM and an ANTEROOM, and DORMROOMS* are part of college campuses, so why can't that be good?
>Seth_Lipkin: ?CEELPS O2 PE.CaLES +83 330
#note 12G SPECkLE would have been a nice one. That's hard to spot. Still a nice find here.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?DORSTY 12H DeSTROY +79 264
#note This allows me more overall space to work with than the N8 placement.
>Seth_Lipkin: AEILNUX 13H AX +37 367
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEEIOOP N10 PA.EE +32 296
#note Draws like this are not going to help claw my way back in this game. I thought I was done drawing vowels like I did earlier. Guess not.
>Seth_Lipkin: EIILNRU O14 LI +8 375
>Samuel_Kaplan: EILNOOO 14B OE +22 318
#note Maybe this is promising? But I pretty much have to draw the S or bingo through the floaters in DESTROY next turn or else he's just going to block the board and have an easy path to victory.
>Seth_Lipkin: DEINRUW J10 UN.EW +28 403
#note He scored fine while blocking the T.
>Samuel_Kaplan: GILNOOS 15C SOLOING +88 406
#note Whew. But can I draw the right stuff to outrun him in the endgame?
>Seth_Lipkin: ADEHIIR A14 HI +21 424
>Samuel_Kaplan: DEEGNT M11 T.NED +21 427
#note I cannot win this game. Even if I realized that NOTED does not still give him an out play, the fact is I cannot block Seth from using the top left corner to score a lot with his A. If I try doing that, Seth just goes out with L7 RAIDE(R) and wins easily. After NOTED, he just does AD in the top left and scores nicely and outruns me.
>Seth_Lipkin: ADEIR L7 RAIDE. +11 435
#note Another tough loss to end the day. This one could have gone either way in my opinion. I feel like this one went better and I just didn't stop drawing vowels after VARS. Great game Seth. Always nice to play someone as good as him. 6-4 +608 and a small rating loss.
