#player2 Eric_Goldstein Eric Goldstein
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?DDEGOS 8D GODDESs +72 72
#note And this may be a good omen for how this one will be after a game that I feel that I played fairly well in and just had bad rack after bad rack. This was chosen over DODGErS, DODGEmS, and StODGED to duplicate a floater. I also like that I found something that doesn't take any hooks.
>Eric_Goldstein: EWY F8 .EWY +19 19
>Samuel_Kaplan: ADNRRTU D8 .URNARD +18 90
#note Tough call here. I think it's a matter of preference. I liked the turnover that this move has to reach for scoring tiles and the blank while I'm ahead, but it also makes the top left of the board harder to access. I didn't see 11B RUNTY, but I liked getting rid of my D with the open D in GODDESS. And RUNTY does not take any hooks, so there is merit to that play too.
>Eric_Goldstein: ?CEEIRT 14A CRE.ITEd +74 93
#note H1 ERECTIv(E) or ERECTIl(E) both score 12 more for him.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AGHOOST A12 GA.H +36 126
#note I saw 15G HOG which does keep better. 7 points is too many to give up in this case and this looks fine.
>Eric_Goldstein: AOTU 15H AUTO +15 108
>Samuel_Kaplan: LOOQSTX J8 .OX +25 151
#note Now let's make the top right of the board harder to access while I'm ahead. I don't think Eric is going to use the A in GURNARD to block QAT as no one is scoring anything in that area of the board.
>Eric_Goldstein: DIU K9 DUI +20 128
>Samuel_Kaplan: EFLOQST 12C Q.T +12 163
>Eric_Goldstein: AAEEKLT - +0 128
#note Not actual rack. Eric exchanged 7 tiles here.
>Samuel_Kaplan: EFLLNOS L11 FELL +19 182
#note I made this play while under the impression FELL did not take an S (it does). I did this with the idea of blocking many other AUTO- extensions (AUTOSOME, AUTOCADE, AUTOCOID, etc) which can score a decent amount for Eric.
>Eric_Goldstein: EZ H12 ZE.. +22 150
>Samuel_Kaplan: EILNORS L3 NEROLIS +70 252
#note Luckboxing into easy ones.
>Eric_Goldstein: EFIV 5H FIVE. +22 172
>Samuel_Kaplan: AINOPRY 3I PIN.Y +26 278
#note I did see G1 PYRANOI(D) which got blocked. This does fine to allow me to start to close down the top left with other parallels to FIVER and GODDESS. But a very nice play that I did not see was H1 PINA(F)OR(E) for 42! #visionlarge
>Eric_Goldstein: AH I12 AH +29 201
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEGLMOR 4D MARGE +24 302
#note 6B GLOMERA #findingsad
>Eric_Goldstein: AOT 8L .OTA +12 213
>Samuel_Kaplan: BELOOPT 2F BLOOP +35 337
#note Good.
>Eric_Goldstein: OW 5D OW +24 237
>Samuel_Kaplan: ABENTTV 6B VANE +26 363
#note VENA at least scores 5 more and is more defensive. #visionsmall
>Eric_Goldstein: CEINRSU B1 INCUR.ES +76 313
#note He had no spot to bingo until that happened. That's what happens after a bad play from me.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AABINTT A7 BAIT +28 391
#note Figured I'll let him have 1A J(I)SM and I'll go out with 1G ANT.
>Eric_Goldstein: EIIJKMS 9C J.K. +29 342
#note And he shockingly threw away some spread with this instead of JISM. 17 spread points to be exact.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ANT 1G ANT +22 413
#note This part went as planned. Got a better result this time. 1-1 -12.
>Samuel_Kaplan: (EIIMS) +14 427
