>Samuel_Kaplan: AEEIMNY 8H MEANY +28 28
#note I think it's interesting how MEANY actually does better in equity. I still prefer this just because Ys aren't that good to keep for bingoing. An argument could also be made for ENEMY for not giving back X plays.
>Seth_Lipkin: AEGOPRT 9B PORTAGE +67 67
#note Doing ENEMY does not give Seth a spot for his bingo! But who would have guessed that?
>Samuel_Kaplan: EILOTUV K7 I.VOLUTE +72 100
#note I did not think of the fact that this has hooks as much as it sounds like an adjective. Also, D2 OUTLIVE(R) was missed for 2 more. #findingsmall
>Seth_Lipkin: AEEGPVW L12 PEW +31 98
#note I have the rest of his racks for this game, thanks to him for providing them. This has defensive merit despite giving up 7 points just because he partially obstructs the INVOLUTE hooks and WEAVE takes several hooks itself.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AACGLOR 13G LOCA..R +26 126
#note I saw this, M10 CLOG, and 8A COG. With other hotspots available, I didn't necessarily mind opening up another one while turning over more tiles and trying to reach for the high pointers. M9 CAROL would have scored 5 more using the same tiles though.
>Seth_Lipkin: AEEGIOV 14D VOGIE +17 115
#note My guess is taking out the INVOLUTE hooks and weakening the H12 hotspot.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?ACFGLN J12 C.F +40 166
#note Best play by far.
>Seth_Lipkin: AEESTUY N10 YEAST +42 157
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?AGLLNN H12 N..L +15 181
#note Not a good draw but this looks fine.
>Seth_Lipkin: DDEEISU 8A DUDE +31 188
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?AABGLN O7 BANAL +28 209
#note I didn't see the bingoes on Column I- hANGABL(E), GNAwABL(E), and GAiNABL(E) all play. However, not bingoing is actually better with all those 3x3s that those plays give up in a close game. If I'm not going to bingo, which I suppose I had the right idea either way, then O8 ALANG is definitely better. #findingmedium
>Seth_Lipkin: AEEHIRS 10E EH +28 216
#note E5 HEIS(T)ER for 47 is worth looking at, but this looks fine too. Nice and sound.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?EGHOTZ 10J Z.O +32 241
#note J6 ZO(A) for 2 more is a little better.
>Seth_Lipkin: AEEIRSU 11E EAU +18 234
#note Looks like his clear best play.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?EGHORT A1 GOaTHER. +89 330
#note Oh wow C5 HOT(DO)GgER is quite an insane one! I could have given Joey Chestnut a shoutout with that one. But he will be missed in this year's Nathan's Famous Hotdog eating contest on the 4th because of signing with another food company that competes with Nathan's. GOaTHER(D) or THROnGE(D) are still way better, so I'm doing this regardless if I saw the 9 or not.
>Seth_Lipkin: EFIOQRS B5 OF +31 265
>Samuel_Kaplan: DIIMNSX B2 XI +37 367
#note At this score, I didn't care for I5 MIX(E)D. I'll let most of Seth's potential bingoes score less and give me back more.
>Seth_Lipkin: EIKQRST 12C QIS +28 293
>Samuel_Kaplan: DIJMNNS 13B MI +30 397
#note The only way to dispose of the J is to do L3 DJINN(Y)! #visionlarge
>Seth_Lipkin: ?BEKRTW 7F BREW +28 321
#note He told me after the game that he really wanted to leave that E open to try to bingo. I like C3 TEW to open up a 2nd threat, but he would have to start with an E which is harder to do than end with one.
>Samuel_Kaplan: DIJNNRS 7M JI. +20 417
#note This time, doing JIB isn't so bad now that the E is blocked. But this and DJINN(Y) and the other JIB are once again the only J plays I have because it is so bad on this board!
>Seth_Lipkin: ?AKORTU A11 OTAKU +35 356
>Samuel_Kaplan: DINNRSS C3 DINS +28 445
#note I am happy to have found 1 of just 3 plays that guarantees me a win. By doing DINS or RIDS, while he can bingo out from the I, even if he has (I)NERTIAs or some other one that does not involve the D, he won't score enough after he gets 12 from my rack. And if he bingoes out with something like (I)NTREpID, those bingoes won't score enough either. I will say that I am fortunate that DINS or RIDS will also successfully outrun Column N bingoes, namely DIsTRA(I)N if I draw EI out of the bag. My only other winning play is I7 (WE)D because although it scores 4 less, it also leaves 1 in the bag which would cause Seth to potentially drop his own D or N with AID, HON, or even HOD if he doesn't have anything through the I in JIB.
>Seth_Lipkin: ?DIINRT D1 TIeD +19 375
#note This was misscored as 15. But I am lucky to have drawn AE out of the bag.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AENRS B13 .AN +24 469
#note For spread purposes, this is clearly better than doing 1C S(T)ERNA, which is my best out play, because Seth can't go out. Also, this over MEN so that I save 6H SER.
>Seth_Lipkin: INR N6 R.N +7 382
#note O14 IN would be 1 more spread point for him here.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ERS 6H SER +17 486
#note This one was pretty good. I am glad to have found GOATHERD and the pre-endgame was well done too. I am hoping to finish it off the right way again. Final score was recorded as 488-378. 6-2 +638.
>Samuel_Kaplan: (I) +2 488
