>David_Weisberg: ?EEGSTW 8G TEW +12 12
#note I thought about EW or WE but it would mean almost any bingo he had would play. He seemed likely to overlap WET or TEW either way, but TEW at least gave me an S hook on either side. I even thought of exchanging GW or EGW in hopes of a 2x2 or a tripled bingo, but I think it gives up too much and my bingo chances are still good enough after TEW.
>Andy_Hoang: ?ADEETT 7C DEnTATE +72 72
#note ATTENDEE or EDENTATE for 77, but after my short play (which also implied an S or I might have played WET) he understandably wanted to keep it a little more closed.
>David_Weisberg: ?AEGRSU H1 REGUlA..S +80 92
#note I took awhile looking for 2x2s and missed E4 GRANULES or GUNNERAS 78 (or at E5). B2 MURAGES 80, which I didn't see, sims best, with E5 GUNNERAS coming half a point behind. REGULATES sims 2 points behind MURAGES. Not seeing the other candidate plays made REGULATES the way to go. I think they're all pretty close, especially given he just bingoed himself. I'd prefer E5 GUNNERAS given another shot, though.

>Andy_Hoang: AIM 9A AIM +30 141
>David_Weisberg: BENOPVY 6G V.PE +25 161
#note I saw 2E ENVOY 19, setting up my B, but it seemed too likely to get blocked. I missed D11 ENVOY 32, which sims best, but my less than half a point over VAPE. The BP leave with ENVOY isn't good, and the Y is an easy scoring spot, but VAPE takes a lot of hooks. The more flexible and promising BNOY leave after VAPE made it a little easier to justify, but I think ENVOY is slightly better as the sim says. 2G BEVY 20 is another interesting choice which sims just slightly behind VAPE, but I'd rather keep more scoring pressure on.

#note 1A CROONIER 83
>David_Weisberg: ABILNOY 2B BOYLA +30 191
#note I really wanted to play an I here with so few played, but I couldn't see a good way to do it. The best options for that are L3 COALBIN 24 or L2 ACYLOIN 26. My play sims best, by about 1.5 over 2F OBEY 24. The stylish C7 DAMNABLY 32 doesn't fare as well, unfortunately, due to the IO leave. It's almost 3 points behind BOYLA. While I'm down a tempo, I'm still not sure I want the openness that ACYLOIN and COALBIN create, especially when turning over 6 to B or Y, though it would be good to have an S for CONVENTS. Despite all the I's in the pool it seems my play is best, though OBEY seems fine too as it gives back less and has a more stable leave.

>Andy_Hoang: ILOU L2 O.ULI +14 248
>David_Weisberg: EGILNTX K2 N.XE +37 228
#note I spent a lot of time here. I wasn't sure if fishing with A8 ZAX 19 hit enough of the time to justify, especially given he may then try to block the M column (though he may think I have S and try to block CONVENTS instead). Even with the M column left open, I need A, D, L, R or S to bingo and it seemed more likely to put me in a position where I'd have to keep fishing if I didn't get it, whereas NIXE seemed to score enough that I might catch up without an immediate bingo. I also though about 4A EX 27 as a middle ground between fishing and scoring, but GILNT alone on this board didn't seem promising if I was leaning more toward trying to bingo soon.

As it turns out, ZAX wins a sim by a long shot, with 4A EX 27 at 7.5 behind and NIXE 10 behind. Quackle thinks ZAX bingos 2/3 of the time, which surely doesn't take into account a defensive response, but it may still be what I have to do.

>Andy_Hoang: DIQU 12I QUID. +30 349
>David_Weisberg: EGHIILS H11 HEILS +44 302
#note QUIDS blocked N10 HEILS 49 so I got stuck on trying to play it elsewhere, but I missed H12 ELHI 41. Andy suggested the S isn't as valuable on this board and my play at least floats one he has to deal with, but ELHI is still clearly better.
>Andy_Hoang: EJL 14F JE.L +27 376
>David_Weisberg: BGIIRRT K10 BR.G +14 316
#note I think I was in time trouble by now. I missed 11K BIRR 23, but my chances are slim no matter what. I also couldn't remember if GIBER is good, and the gain was too little to try it.

#note I held out hope for something like 15H SATINIER 79, though it probably wouldn't be enough.

#note J5 MED 20. C7 DAMMIT would have been funny though.
>Andy_Hoang: INRSU 12A RUINS +24 470
#note I went overtime and lost 10, so it was scored 476-352.
