>Samuel_Kaplan: AAIRTTW 8G TAW +12 12
#note I could also do AWAIT for 6 more, or even TWA. It's a hard call. Figured I don't give back the AWAITING or the AWAITERS extensions with 8H AWAIT and also not give back a hotspot with 8D AWAIT.
>Robert_Goetz: AEX 9G AXE +30 30
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEIKRST G6 KA.. +9 21
#note I figured KATA would make it a little less obvious that I'm keeping an S just because this looks less aggressive than I8 (WE)KA. Many plays are within a couple valuation points of each other, so it's really a matter of preference. The sim likes it just because I had the STAW hook available. However, I can still end a bingo with -SE or even have a bingo with -SET- in it on Row 10 which would score a lot.
>Robert_Goetz: EITU 10H ETUI +22 52
>Samuel_Kaplan: ABEIRST 11B BARITES +79 100
#note As a handful of us would do at our local club after a stem bingo such as this is played, we go "yayyyy" with funny CLAPTER*. And the person who runs it, Bob Krause, would be proud because he loves mineral words.
>Robert_Goetz: AEGIMR B8 GAM.IER +36 88
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEGGINO A4 GONIA +33 133
#note Looks fine. Wasn't a fan of 8A A(G)OG as EGIN wasn't that great of a leave on this board, and I also hated A12 GAEN even more as GIO is just that much worse. I win the most often after this play than AGOG for GAEN.
>Robert_Goetz: ORTY A12 TROY +31 119
#note That could have been a lot worse.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEEGJNY C7 JAY +38 171
#note Close with C3 JAYGEE. Figured I had 2 open Is so I liked my odds of bingoing a little better now.
>Robert_Goetz: IQ 10E QI +28 147
>Samuel_Kaplan: EEGNNRV C13 VEG +29 200
#note I spent a while on this turn. No bingoes were missed even after looking thru the I in ETUI. I saw K6 NERV(I)NG just because that blocks the 2x2. My play takes out the Z hotspot and scores nicely despite not as much turnover. I will say that I am surprised at how similiar my bingo % is next turn with this as opposed to 7F N(A)V, but I did not see K6 EVEN(I)NG which cuts Rob's bingo % by quite a bit. I would probably do 7F N(A)V if I had to do this over again.
>Robert_Goetz: ?CDELOR K5 CLOuD.ER +90 237
#note So as it turns out, my last turn would have been a crapshoot. Rob still has D2 DECoLOR for 85 even if I block the 2x2 with NERVING or EVENING. He still gains about the same number of points from that sequence as opposed to this one. And this is nice and defensive without offering me back much, nice play.
>Samuel_Kaplan: CELLNNR 8K .NCLE +21 221
#note This is forced. I got nothing good besides this.
>Robert_Goetz: AADISTU H1 STADIA +33 270
#note This was Rob's full rack. He told me he was afraid of doing this initially, but I personally think it's fine because his next best play is 4A GAUD for 12.
>Samuel_Kaplan: FLNORUZ D4 FLUOR +33 254
#note Best play.
>Robert_Goetz: BDELNOU 2C UNBOL.ED +67 337
#note Are you serious
>Samuel_Kaplan: DINOSVZ 1A ZIN +38 292
>Robert_Goetz: EHH L11 HEH +27 364
>Samuel_Kaplan: DFOOOSV M12 FOO +28 320
>Robert_Goetz: ?EIINPR N4 PERI.INg +63 427
#note For spread purposes, I'm lucky that Rob missed 1H (S)NIpPIER for 91. But this still gets the job done for him.
>Samuel_Kaplan: DEENOSV O1 DOVEN +37 357
#note Passed up 15H DOVENS and DEVONS so that I have a better 2-move score with 12D ES on the next turn.
>Robert_Goetz: MPSTUW 15L STUM +28 455
#note Looks good.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ES 12D ES +20 377
#note Just how I drew it up. Great game Rob! The VEG position was very interesting and this board would have been totally different with NERVING or EVENING. 1-1 +4.
>Samuel_Kaplan: (PW) +14 391
