>Ryan_Fischer: DGLOOOW F10 WOOD +34 54
#note I spent like 5 minutes here agonizing over this rack because I knew it was either LOGWOOD or WOODLOG* and I couldn't remember which. Eric and I had already had some crazy games including one with 4 phonies challenged. I knew he wasn't gonna let anything go by so I had to be damn sure. And I wasn't. GG.
>Eric_Harshbarger: AENSV 14B VANES +31 51
#note He may have been fearful of the Y, but if I had it, I would have played it.
>Ryan_Fischer: ?GIIILO -GIIILO +0 54
#note The tile gods hath smited me for my sins. Q static wants LOGI(N). I want to go home. But I am home.
>Eric_Harshbarger: ABDEEHS I2 BEHEADS +77 128
>Ryan_Fischer: ?CDIIPP 5H P.PtIDIC +78 132
#note I lost an E on an overdraw. For some reason, the rack felt like an exchange 7, so I was going through the motion and pulled 7. It didn't hurt too much. I was really hating my position though. I saw DIPLOPIC first but then was so happy to have pulled this out of the aether. Now just to choose where to slot it? I didn't put it on row 3 because of the -CH or -CY possibilities.
>Eric_Harshbarger: ?EIINOR O1 sORI.INE +140 268
#note He held, but not for long, and immediately played this. No good Scrabble deed, like playing a 26k deep 8 letter bingo, goes unpunished. (Though missing a 23k deep 7 because you aren't sure is another story.) This game is just so frustrating at times. Find the right play, low prob, and get bingo bango 3x3ed on and lose your shot at winning the tournament. After the disaster that was game 19, I was not in a good mood.
>Ryan_Fischer: AEIJTYZ H1 JAY +48 180
#note Okay, so I missed YAJE for 55. New words haven't sunk in yet. And that would have opened up a lane (although how good a lane remains to be seen because they go to the same area). It's only a 5-ish point mistake, although it does close up the top left quadrant of the board.
>Eric_Harshbarger: EFGO L2 FOG.E +18 286
>Ryan_Fischer: AEIRRTZ 13C ZA +46 226
>Eric_Harshbarger: MX N4 M.X +57 343
#note Yeah.
>Ryan_Fischer: EEIRRTT G10 ET +14 240
#note My play is meh, but they're all like 3% to win anyway. J3 RE(P is 16. I don't want to leave 2 Ts though. I feel Rs are more flexible. I considered (MIX)ER but passed on that for the same reason. This doesn't sim too greatly though.
>Eric_Harshbarger: AIQUY D4 QUAY +37 380
#note He said he had an I and was tempted to fish for YANQUI.
>Ryan_Fischer: EIIMRRT E3 RIM +29 269
#note Meh.
>Eric_Harshbarger: OTV 8L VOT. +11 391
#note Good defense.
>Ryan_Fischer: EEIRSTT 2C TET +9 278
#note It's all hopeless, but I figured I needed to open this quadrant to have a prayer. Champ sim says J3 TI(P) is 2%.
>Eric_Harshbarger: DERW 1A DREW +47 438
>Ryan_Fischer: EEIRRRS M8 .RRERIES +68 346
#note My feint worked. Now, ORRERIES or TERRIERS? Sacrifice 2 points to stay away from the 3WS and give a little but more space for 8s. I was very happy to play ORRERIES. Fun word.
>Eric_Harshbarger: ILNOT 15J TON.IL +21 459
>Ryan_Fischer: FILNOSU D12 F..O +16 362
#note Champ many ply says H11 SULFO 34. That kills those lines though. I was super low on time because it seemed as if every decision was a complex desperate grab at a total lack of hope. So, I just threw this down and hoped something would materialize. Honestly, it doesn't do too badly. Sims 3rd behind SULFO and FLU G2.
>Eric_Harshbarger: AN 3B NA +10 469
>Ryan_Fischer: EGILNSU B3 .U +2 364
#note He blocked DUELINGS (which I kind of forgot if the anagram of INDULGES was good). It is, of course. Champ says C13 (ZA)G 16. I can't win, but if I lose by less than 45 I still win the tourney. Ain't gonna happen though. I threw this down really quickly, having no time to actually calculate if it could hit anything.
>Eric_Harshbarger: AILN A4 NAIL +8 477
>Ryan_Fischer: CEGILNS 8A SEC +30 394
#note 14H GLEN leaves 8A SIC to go out. Right idea, but a bit backwards.
>Eric_Harshbarger: AGTU 15C G.T +19 496
#note UT(E) blocks my INGL(E).
>Ryan_Fischer: GILN 11I INGL. +12 406
>Ryan_Fischer: (AU) +4 410
>Ryan_Fischer: (time) -10 400
#note Agreed on 487-400. We misscored something of his somewhere.
