#player2 Mark_Miller Mark Miller
>Samuel_Kaplan: EIMNORU 8G MU +8 8
#note Interesting how playing longer is favored here. MU is one of those plays that doesn't give him many floaters to work with but is also easy to hook, therefore the board will be open longer and EINOR will bingo pretty often. I didn't think of doing ONIUM which actually could bait a phony S hook. And I also wasn't a fan of exchanging U as I only draw a 7 less than half the time after that.
>Mark_Miller: AGIOSTU I2 AGOUTIS +66 66
#note There was no stopping that from coming down.
>Samuel_Kaplan: EINNORT 3F RIN.TONE +70 78
#note Oh wow J3 INTONER is an insane parallel that I did not see! Yea, that's easily better. #visionlarge
>Mark_Miller: ABINORT F7 TABORIN +67 133
#note While this does play at J8 for 6 more, it's another unfortunate bounce I can't control.
>Samuel_Kaplan: EIJNOTY L1 JE.NY +46 124
#note I didn't see 14B JITNEY, but this actually looks a little safer as JITNEYS plays will also score nicely.
>Mark_Miller: ?IX 1L .InX +51 184
>Samuel_Kaplan: EILLOOT K5 OLLIE +20 144
#note We both missed the TABORINE hook for several turns. Probably OLLIE there is fine, or if I think he might miss the ETOILE hook, TOILE in that spot.
>Mark_Miller: HRRW 12D WH.RR +24 208
>Samuel_Kaplan: CELNOPT 14B CONTE +30 174
#note I had 11A PLECT(R)ON ready to go until Mark blocked that. Finally saw the TABORINE hook somehow lol. Chosen over CLONE for synergy and PONCE as I keep a scoring tile for next turn.
>Mark_Miller: ADDEF H10 FA.DED +33 241
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEELOPR J9 PAROLEE +67 241
#note Good.
>Mark_Miller: ACILM L9 CLAIM +25 266
>Samuel_Kaplan: BEEOSTV 11C VEE. +29 270
#note No floating R for OVERBETS. Yea, 11A VETOE(R) was too aggressive for my liking at this score. Good thing I also saw 13C BEE(N). In the end, the V is the tile that needed to go.
>Mark_Miller: AGINT 15J .ATING +24 290
>Samuel_Kaplan: ABGOSTZ H1 BA.G +34 304
#note Best play by far.
>Mark_Miller: EH M8 EH +24 314
>Samuel_Kaplan: ADORSTZ N5 TZAR +35 339
#note I feel like I played fairly well this entire game. However, being unsure if PECH took an S cost me dearly. In this case, I definitely would have tacked the S on if I was sure.
>Mark_Miller: ?AEIPQU O8 EQUIP +66 380
#note This is his full rack for this position. He would have done 2B PIQUE for only 40 and the score would have been Mark leading by only 2, 354-352. Maybe I would have actually had a decent shot at winning this game despite my 4th blankless effort in 6 tries.
>Samuel_Kaplan: DKOSSUW C13 W.K +20 359
#note Turns out 13L MOWS gives me the best win % and this play officially clinches the loss.
>Mark_Miller: DEY G6 DE.Y +29 409
>Samuel_Kaplan: DIOOSSU 13L .UDS +31 390
#note No choice but to have to cut spread now.
>Mark_Miller: ?AFSV 4C FAVe +19 428
#note E4 FaVA is 2 more for him. This still gets it done for him.
>Samuel_Kaplan: IOOS 15C .OIS +25 415
#note Mhm
>Mark_Miller: S D10 S.. +6 434
#note He told me he was unsure if RINGTONE took an S, so he did this. Great game by both of us, close one throughout. It's unfortunate that one bad play from me turned out to be the difference in this one. Now I know that PECH is one of those ones ending in CH to take an S. Weird, right? 3-3 +39. I still have a chance to finish in the top 3, so let's just keep a good mental game.
