#note missed PLEDGOR, which I like best. PRONGED is a fine play but a bit clumsy, PLIED or PRIG or PING or GRIND feel more proactive, even if worse plays, PRONGED is still not even a point down from PLEDGOR in the sim and sims above everything else. It's sometimes too bad that these plays don't matter, because it is these plays that really feel like the ultimate test of play finding and subtle tactics.

#note MILLIREM might be good to swing an M instead of an N, though putting the N at K4 is nice. MILLIERS also doesn't leave the hook, I might have played that if I was 100% sure of it, though in the end I am most happy with MILLINER, which also puts the R in a spot that will likely block the S hook naturally.

#note mostly considered FEAZE and AVA 7I to set up the Z, which is nice beacuse I am also left with Es after I hit the setup, which will be nice longterm. Still, just raw value short term really favours FEAZE, wins a sim by 6, so I had to just go for it. If I can block the floating E the board will be really dead

#note a bit risky to make the big O1 spot, but I had confidence that I could outrun after those plays, I wanted to block bingoes

#note hard spot here. JEU is one of those plays that could reasonably win a ton or barely at all - unfortunately here, it is closer to the latter, in that it doesn't actually outrun o1 plays well at all. I thought it would, which is why I played it, blocking bingoes and then going into an endgame against TEXAS type plays hoping to win with an out in two - the problem is that the pool is good enough where even with 6 tiles he is often threatening an out, or just has enough fire power with RE(Z) type stuff that he can maintain his lead. A lot of 5-10 point losses after JEU. VARIA might be right to just reach for the X myself, otherwise maybe RAVIER or AJIVA, really tough call. I still might opt for something like JEU here just to be extra confident in outmanoeuvring the endgame, but this position is pushing the limit of that mentality
