#note I was like... sure WOOT# was no good. But when it came back I assumed it was just WOOTS* that was no good. Maybe what can come from this is Matt putting an S on WOOT# some amount of the time and losing a turn. But probably this is just a donation on a 4-letter word I should know.
>Joshuasiphon: AADIMOT K8 MA.O +18 30
#note didn't know DOMATIA#, though this rack did scream of bingo. I missed DAIM(Y)O and OID(I)A which both significantly improve on this. I looked for something like DAIMYO, such a tough thing to spot. OIDIA should not be tough to spot, but I was intent on leaving the S hook open and totally distracted by what had just happened. Really bad. #findingSADDEST #knowledgeSADDEST

#note was very close to playing IMPAVE# but was just too worried I was making it up due to IMPAVID. I should have trusted myself, but felt my position was good enough not to try something I was not 100% on. But it's a humongous swing.
>MatthewTunnicliffe: IORRT 15G TORRI. +21 51
>Joshuasiphon: DEEEHRT 14H HEED.ER +40 100
#note and then here I talked myself into being bold and playing this, which I was in no way certain of. Just a lot of back and forth psychological pressure when you don't know the words.
>MatthewTunnicliffe: BEGLW 9D WEBL.G +20 71
>Joshuasiphon: AIIRRTU L4 URARI +17 117
#note every 5 from the M is better, but every 5 from the M was a word I didn't know.

>MatthewTunnicliffe: UX K4 XU +31 147
>Joshuasiphon: EGJPSTT 8C JET +19 161
#note trying to hold on to the position and slow him down. I can go for UP(JET)# or draw it here, but I forgot about that other JET extension. Playing M9 JET for 23 is an option to potentially allow big scores at A8 that might give me a floater I need.
>MatthewTunnicliffe: ?AANNSS 8K ..NAS +21 168
>Joshuasiphon: DEEGPST N6 PE.G +13 174
#note his rack is pretty specific here. I don't know that it's at all worth trying to block a little. But I didn't want to get boxed in after an O-column bingo by playing on the 13 row. And I completely missed just playing this on the M column, or DEG/GED M10. This is terrible in retrospect and I'm only hurting myself. #strategySAD
>MatthewTunnicliffe: AUY D12 .UAY +20 188
>Joshuasiphon: ?DEKOST 15A TOD. +24 198
#note thought the T could be more beneficial to me than to him. He probably still doesn't have an I, so I'm more likely to draw an IES(T) bingo on the A column than him I think.
>MatthewTunnicliffe: BO 8A OB... +42 230
#note yup, missed this possibility completely.
>Joshuasiphon: ?EKORST O1 STrOKER. +92 290
>MatthewTunnicliffe: ?AAEFNS 1H FANbASE. +83 313
>Joshuasiphon: AFIILLS 2L LIF. +28 318
#note was feeling pretty OK about this position
>MatthewTunnicliffe: EEIMOU 14B MI.OU +29 342
>Joshuasiphon: AAEILNS 7D LA +11 329
#note with inference I'm not super likely to draw an E. Post-mortem revealed the idea of A(W) 7G which hits CCGHL. He'll block the 2 row first and it's actually really tough to play vertically down the F column to block both lines, and that also gives me more floaters to work with. I didn't put enough thought into how hard it was to have a way to block both. I put A(W)L on the board at one point. I felt AEINS was pretty good with EE inference from MIAOU, NN giving NANNIES (though he blocks that a ton). I think I need to make a better fish than this. The problem was I was trying to do too much. The score seemed close enough to potentially outrun him if he tries to block bingos, but that seems pretty hard to accomplish.
