#player1 Jeremy_Hall Jeremy Hall
#player2 Samuel_Kaplan Samuel Kaplan
>Jeremy_Hall: ?EEGINU 8B INGEnUE +68 68
#note So at this point, I must beat Jeremy 4 times in a row in order to win the tournament because I am in 2nd place at this point (if I'm not mistaken I was the only one with 8 wins so spread would not matter). If he's trying to clinch and will have an early lead, I really like EUGENIc better to block off the right side of the board unless I have an S.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AHILNOO D2 HALOIN. +22 22
#note D3 HOOLI(G)AN is a hard one to see. I had the right idea by opening up and playing long. Now the board will stay open for a while when I need it most.
>Jeremy_Hall: AMX E3 MAX +48 116
#note I didn't think he would play MAX on the other side of HALOING to give a previous opponent of mine a shoutout with his infamous texting hugs and kisses phony.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEFIOOT C1 OOF +33 55
#note Best play by far. Thank you for the new word updates! Now please give me consonants.
>Jeremy_Hall: AKNPR 9G PRANK +24 140
>Samuel_Kaplan: AADEEIT H8 ..ADIATE +30 85
#note Board vision solid here. Score, get myself out of this mess, and keep the board open for a long time.
>Jeremy_Hall: BLM 13G L.MB +12 152
#note It's possible he had a Y, otherwise BLAM would have came down.
>Samuel_Kaplan: BEENRVY F2 BEVY +46 131
#note I will gladly ignore the setup when I can score nicely myself.
>Jeremy_Hall: AGY 14J YAG +30 182
>Samuel_Kaplan: EEIJNOR C7 E.JOINER +101 232
#note YESSSSS. Never giving up!
>Jeremy_Hall: ?ENRSTT 11E TRi.ENTS +82 264
#note K5 TRiN(K)ETS does play for 94 making the blank the same letter.
>Samuel_Kaplan: DEGRSWZ 12A ZE.S +46 278
#note Looks good. Neither one of us saw the RERADIATE hook, but 7G DREW does not look appealing either way. Quackle agrees that the Z should be dumped here. Again, I have the dictionary committee to thank.
>Jeremy_Hall: IOR A12 .ORI +39 303
>Samuel_Kaplan: CDDGNRW 10A GR.W +10 288
#note How is DGNRW gonna be a good leave with only one open vowel by doing COD in the same spot?
>Jeremy_Hall: LUV J6 VUL. +15 318
>Samuel_Kaplan: ACDDINS G1 DID +24 312
#note I did see CANDIDS but chickened out on it. I wish ATE was on the board because I did see a 10 through those letters for CANDIDATES! #knowledgelarge
>Jeremy_Hall: DEOPU 8J .OUPED +36 354
>Samuel_Kaplan: AACINRS N2 CANARI.S +74 386
#note I did not know L3 ANACR(U)SI(S) and definitely would not have seen that! But out of all the anagrams through the E, I do win the most often. And for what it's worth, I only win 1% more often after the crazy find.
>Jeremy_Hall: EIOW 15L OWIE +28 382
#note Misscored as 27.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ACLOQST 14F QA. +34 420
>Jeremy_Hall: EEHITTU M3 HUT +26 408
>Samuel_Kaplan: CFLOST L1 COST +30 450
>Jeremy_Hall: EEIT O3 TEE +19 427
>Samuel_Kaplan: FL 2B F.. +18 468
#note Missed my only out of L6 FLU. Very small loss of spread at worst.
>Jeremy_Hall: I F14 .I +11 438
#note All righty, 1 down and 3 to go in order to win the tournament. Jeremy has had a great tournament and I have been the only player in the whole field to beat him at all through 13 rounds. Definitely something to be proud of, especially doing it twice as a result of playing a million times better this game than last game. Final score was recorded as 468-439 and now I'm 9-4 +184.
