This was an interesting situation. I was 8-3 and in 3rd behind Kristy Zurbrick and Jeff Fiszbein, who were both 9-2 and 500+ spread points ahead of me. I had confirmed with Dan Stock, the tourney director, that the final round would be straight KOTH, which meant that I would basically need to win by over 250 pts to have a reasonable chance at 1st, since otherwise Kristy and Jeff would just play for (in all likelihood) 1st place next round.
