#note mixed theories on stuff like citolas - while the C offers nice defensive prospects both short term and longterm, it can also become a bit isolated itself and make it hard to fully block things off later on. I think it''s still worth the defense, even immediate, and can threaten longterm board closure, but it makes a certain flavour of board that feels a bit precarious.

#note saw CONVEXES, but felt like my position was good enough to gun for a safer bingo next turn. Could do EX/ODE for an almost guaranteed bingo, but it does let him hit the triple a bit easier, stuff like -AI- words. EX and SEX are close in a sim, a bit ahead of the bingo. EX doesnt actually raise his average score, since he can more easily hit easy 15a words (avg basically unaffected, just slightly more std. deviation with EX)

#note saw PECORINI but liked blocking the triple triple, and bingoes next turn can potentially really close the left side of the board. PECORINI wins a sim but it's hard to evaluate the position here longterm, CROP does put me in a really good position

#note just dropping QAT is not so bad cause I get J?WED plays 1/3 of the time, and the Q is a real annoyance, both in terms of hindering my blocks next turn, and making me respond worse in case he does hit a bingo immediately. JINGO wins a sim by about 5 points over QAT, and with UU out and two separate Q drops, I'm never in severe trouble.
