>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: ABMPRUU H4 UMBRA +20 20
#note nice to keep the P for PENUMBRA. PUB sims a few higher than this, but this is second, around tied with BUMP
>Jackson: EFILNOR 4F FL.ORINE +72 72
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: AEHPRTU 3K HUP +31 51
#note not worth keeping the P here, though it's only a few down in sim
>Jackson: DEHILNV 9E HIVED +28 100
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: AEEGORT 8A TOERAG +32 83
#note quite close in a sim between ORGEAT, TOERAGE, TOGAE, GAROTE.
>Jackson: AEIILNO 10A EOLIAN +22 122
#note liked the modest defense of EOLIAN, though considered ALOIN and MIEN as well, which are both very reasonable plays
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: EEINNRW - +0 83
>Jackson: IIOPRTT 5K PIT +34 156
#note again tempting to keep the P for PENUMBRAE, but not worth it
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: EEINNRW A8 .W.ENIER +36 119
#note phony
>Jackson: ?IOQRTT 3E QI +16 172
#note QUBIT not so bad here, burning the blank
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: AIMNRTU C1 RUMINAT. +72 191
>Jackson: ?OORTTV 1A TO.T +15 187
#note conidered PITOT, but its not good enough because both 3x3 lanes are doubled in my rack, and only the O column really works well for OVER words, but that insists on the blank being an E if I don't draw one. TORT or TOROT make sense here
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: LOOTWXZ B1 .X +36 227
#note quackle hates OX, 2 ply has it 9 below OXO and 15 below WALTZ. WALTZ blocks the scoring spot there, and saves OXO for next turn, which is far less likely to be blocked than WALTZ next turn for Josh. Josh chose OX to keep longterm ??Z bombs alive like TIZ, SEZ. Nice idea but it seems like the immediate one two punch of WALTZ then OXO hits way harder. In 6 ply, ox performs a hair closer to OXO, but WALTZ still kills it
>Jackson: ?AENORV 14A .NdEAVOR +86 273
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: JLOOTWZ H12 WO.T +33 260
#note this time the clever play sims better - JOWL and JOW still sime 3 ahead. JOWL is nice here to go for SEZ or TIZ upstairs, but its true that after a big 15 row play that could still put him down
>Jackson: ?DDESSU 15G S.UDDiES +61 334
#note missed DRUIDESS, and was not sure of SUDDENS, which is a word. SUDDENS looks good here, seems like I could develop an exhausted board at the bottom right. STUDDIES can be good for an exhausted board as well if I draw a good play from PITS/PITA or a good N column play that doesnt give a good hook onto the O column. SUDDENS is probably the call in the end.
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: AEJLOOZ D12 JE.Z +60 320
>Jackson: ACEFIIK B4 KIF +39 373
#note Saw FAKIES but not FACIES, which is nice to keep the K for 2F plays and B6 plays. Better shots of outrunning, plus it forces his hand at being proactive about the board, since next turn I can ply on the O column and totally exhaust. I like it. Of course if he bingoes immediately I'm probably not favoured, but longterm prospects are nice. I liked KIF because I can draw into plays at N10 with the C that also exhaust the board, and I felt like his immediate bingoes are not as dangeorus as after FAKIES, so I could outrun more easily
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: ACGLOOS 14L GOA +16 336
#note good call with As unseen to keep the O
>Jackson: ACEILYY N5 ALEC +14 387
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: ACEGLOS 2F GO +18 354
#note this wins with EN, for SCALENE and ENLACES.
>Jackson: ABINSYY 1G YAY +32 419
