>Andy_Hoang: ATU 8F UTA +6 6
>David_Weisberg: EHILNOR F8 .NHOLIER +71 71
#note Sims about 5 points better than G6 HOTLINER G6, which I didn't see (it's one that was added during my hiatus, so less familiar to me). Since Andy just played three one-point tiles, he may have a better than average rack, so maybe UNHOLIER isn't that much better. HOTLINER still gives back a lot though, so I'm fine with UNHOLIER.
>Andy_Hoang: INOY 15E I.ONY +24 30
>David_Weisberg: CDOOPSY 12D PO.Y +18 89
#note 12F LYCOPODS 88. Didn't know it, though it occurred to me there might be a bingo through the L.
>Andy_Hoang: AE G8 .EA +12 42
>David_Weisberg: ?ACDOST I5 COASTeD +65 154
#note Sim suggests COSTARD for the same score, by half a point, but he just fished so it would be better to discourage S hooks. In a vacuum, COASTED does give back more apart from bingos.
>Andy_Hoang: AEEFRST 14I AFREETS +91 133
#note Best, but 9D FENESTRATE 66 is crazy. My medically knowledgeable opponent probably knows it too.
>David_Weisberg: AAEEGNT O8 NEGATE. +27 181
#note The sim likes 13H AGE 20, which is pretty gutsy. He does have a random rack now, but a blank is still unseen. I wasn't 100% on AGNATES for some reason, just AGNATE, so I rationalized this by the fact that there were only 3 remaining A's left and twice as many E's. AGE sims about 5 ahead of AGNATES and 5.5 ahead of NEGATES. With AGE the sim says I bingo 41% next turn vs.14% for the other plays, but with all sorts of good stuff still unplayed, I'd still find it hard to leave that S open.
>Andy_Hoang: AEILMR 5E MIRA.LE +44 177
#note Interesting that he didn't have a bingo from this rack, as it has a lot of 7s and 8s on this board. His next play may explain why.
>David_Weisberg: AEQRU M9 QUAER. +50 231
#note I forgot to write down my leave but this was probably best.
>Andy_Hoang: AXZ 4D ZAX +51 228
>David_Weisberg: EGGHIMR E11 H.G +27 258
#note 13H GHI does over 4 points better. I probably overlooked it. 14B GIGHE 25 sims just behind GHI, and this is what I would have done had I seen it.
>Andy_Hoang: NOPTU H1 OUTP.N +35 263
>Andy_Hoang: NOPTU -- -35 228
>David_Weisberg: DEGIMOR H1 DOGM. +36 294
>Andy_Hoang: NOPTU 4K PUNTO +20 248
>David_Weisberg: EEFILOR O1 FLO.IE +27 321
#note 13I FIE 30 performs about a point better on equity, but I think it's valuable to close off the right side of row 1 for D bingos, and turn over a couple more tiles toward getting the blank. ELOR isn't an exciting leave either. I thought more about 2F FLOOIE 19, but this sacrifices too many points to close off the bingo lines with not that large a lead, and still gives back two triples, especially at O1.
>Andy_Hoang: IK 13I KI +31 279
>David_Weisberg: DEIRRSV 2G V.IDER +14 335
#note The sim likes 12J DIVERT 27 a lot more, but he just played KI. Though that scored a lot, I also suspect he's close to a bingo, or has the blank, if not both. VOIDER cuts his bingo chances from 12% to 1%. I don't see how he scores much on this board without a bingo.
>Andy_Hoang: BI N6 BI +20 299
>David_Weisberg: BERSVWW -BVWW +0 335
#note Exchanging was actually dangerous here. I'm not sure how much I thought about 9s on column K from PE. 11K BRAVA 20 eliminates that, and sims best by far. On this board the W's are actually helpful as they can be played in two spots for 27 or 20, or played together at 1K if I draw into WAW or WOW. Missed opportunity to put this game away earlier.
>Andy_Hoang: ACEINST K4 ..CTINASE +76 375
>Andy_Hoang: ACEINST -- -76 299
#note Andy used his medical knowledge to make this brilliant find. It's a word in the real world but not in Scrabble (even Collins). Even with my great rack it looked hard to win if it stayed on the board, so I challenged. Aside from this, his best play is probably 6B INCASE 31, but he's still an underdog after that play.
>David_Weisberg: ?DEORSU 12J DUR. +17 352
#note I wasn't sure what to do here except score a bit and block the 9s line. Probably most commonsense plays will lead to a win here, but Quackle lists 12A DUOPOLY 15 among its many choices. This would be absolutely sick as it opens me a 3x3 holding ERS? and two more bingo columns, none of which he has an 8 through with his rack. The danger is that it only scores 15, but he will be forced to either leave the spot open or break up his bingo rack. The other problem is the atrocious pool of BIJLNVWW, which I should now have full knowledge of.
>Andy_Hoang: NT K4 ..NT +6 305
>David_Weisberg: ?EILNOS D10 LO. +11 363
#note It doesn't look like I can lose here now unless I somehow lose a turn or get caught with J, and I'm too well-positioned for that to happen. That said, this was not a good play because it lets him reopen the left side of the board, so I probably gave up some equity.
>Andy_Hoang: ISV 6D VIS +25 330
#note Scored as 27
>David_Weisberg: ?EIJNSW K10 JE. +20 383
>Andy_Hoang: ABCEW C9 CAB +21 351
>David_Weisberg: ?INSW 8A WISh +26 409
#note This may be one of the dumbest plsys I've ever made, not in the sense of giving up equity or wins, but the needlessness of putting the blank on the DLS when I had WIS. I was about to go overtime and got a bit flustered. This is a play Zoey from the Scrabble Go app might make!
>Andy_Hoang: EW 15K EW +20 371
#note We each lost 10 points from overtime. Final score recorded as 399-365.
