#note Wellington Janniversary Round 7

I didn't have a chance to look at the standings before this game, as Gil needed to get somewhere after the tournament and we started right away. This was probably a good thing for me as I could just play without worrying about the results of other games.
>Chris_Tallman_: ?HOOQSY G7 HOY +28 28
>Gil_Quiballo: AAI 10E AIA +15 27
>Chris_Tallman_: ?DEQSUU E8 QU.D +28 56
#note No E for DEQUEUES - I looked a few minutes here - happy to see I didn't miss anything.
>Gil_Quiballo: EEEEE -EEEEE +0 27
>Chris_Tallman_: ?AEIRSU 12C RESIdUA +79 135
>Gil_Quiballo: AEIM C9 MAI.E +20 47
#note I was unsure of this, and hoped the S hook didn't come into play - it didn't seem likely enough to become important to spend 5 points making sure though.
>Chris_Tallman_: HWY B8 WHY +40 175
#note I could get hit back for 100 in the worst case, but I felt the equity of this play was too good to resist (from what I remember - I can't work out my leave here).
>Gil_Quiballo: EFILL A4 FILLE +51 98
>Chris_Tallman_: ACNPRRS I4 CRAP +27 202
#note I didn't know PUCAN (27) - CRAP is a bit dangerous since a SCRAP bingo could open the board with the lanes at the bottom still open, even though I'm keeping an S and bingo consonants for the spot myself. I knew enough about the standings to know I didn't need spread, so perhaps this wasn't the right idea.
>Gil_Quiballo: AEV B2 VAE +17 115
>Chris_Tallman_: ABJNRST H11 J.NTA +36 238
#note Much better than JUBAS (42) which I saw first, as the S is worth the 6 point sacrifice just offensively and JUNTA doesn't string it in the triple lane either.
>Gil_Quiballo: CENOU 1A OUNCE +37 152
#note Nice setup by Gil the turn before.
>Chris_Tallman_: BOORSU C3 BUROO +30 268
#note I missed the HAPU parallel - which is a Maori word - BUROO plays for 38 with FAB - damn!
>Gil_Quiballo: GOST 3F TOGS +17 169
#note Gil plays the NZ word (for swimwear) after I failed the last turn.
>Chris_Tallman_: EIILRST 15A LISTERI. +77 345
>Gil_Quiballo: GLO 4I .LOG +14 183
>Chris_Tallman_: EIOW 5I .OWIE +31 376
#note Partial rack.
>Gil_Quiballo: ?DEGRST N5 SToDGER +71 254
>Gil_Quiballo: IZ (challenge) +5 259
#note 3k probability Collins only bingo - I had studied the ones with one anagram pretty well, unfortunately this bingo has one (TODGERS), and so it didn't show up on that list.
>Chris_Tallman_: ADEEORT 6H ..DE +26 402
#note FADE has the highest valuation by a decent amount, not that I need spread.
>Gil_Quiballo: IZ H1 ZI. +39 298
>Chris_Tallman_: AEORTTX O11 EXTRA +62 464
>Gil_Quiballo: DIMN M10 MIND +21 319
>Chris_Tallman_: BEKOPT O6 OKE +37 501
>Gil_Quiballo: NNNV 11L V... +7 326
>Chris_Tallman_: BPT G2 B.P +11 512
>Gil_Quiballo: NNN D12 .N +4 330
>Chris_Tallman_: T B14 T. +4 516
>Gil_Quiballo: N 6C .N +2 332
#note After this game finished, I looked at the standings and noticed that if Howard (4 wins) beat Dylan (5 wins after getting 3x3'd on against me in Round 1), then I'd win the tournament on spread. I deliberately didn't go over to watch their game, and only found out I won during the prize ceremony - my second win in a row.
