>Chris_Tallman: EGILOSV 8G GOV +14 14
#note Wellington Janniversary One-Day Round 1

The sim significantly prefers GOV or VOG over VOGIE for 26. I played GOV to protect the S hook against overlaps, but VOG's V on the left side better shuts down the left quadrants long term, so I could go either way.
>Dylan_Early: AV I8 .AV +10 10
#note I should probably infer an S or a blank since VAV above is much more defensive otherwise.
>Chris_Tallman: EHILOST 11D HOLIEST +80 94
#note This seemed the most bingo-defensive of the 4 possible bingoes available, only floating the H and O.
>Dylan_Early: ABCEI 12B CEIBA +34 44
>Chris_Tallman: EILNORU B10 UN.OIL +20 114
#note I still inferred an S from Dylan's placement of VAV, and he's just played 5 tiles with CEIBA, so I decided to risk opening the 3x3 to make the best equity play with UNCOIL keeping ER rather than something like LEUCON or ULICON (which I didn't know, one of the many forms of OOLACHAN) creating S hooks on the triple line. I also considered OVULE through VAV (16), but the floating E and equity sacrifice for that seemed too much.
>Dylan_Early: ?AINO A8 NAOI +16 60
#note Dylan said after the game he had a blank here - I dodged a bullet.
>Chris_Tallman: CEENORT 15A E.ECTRON +167 281
#note Well, that happened. Nice to get a huge lead early (heh) against one of NZ's best players; I was anticipating a stressful game 1.
>Dylan_Early: ?UY 14G YU +12 72
>Chris_Tallman: AEIOSWX 13A W.X +44 325
>Dylan_Early: ?EIMORR 13H ROoMIER +71 143
#note Dylan could play MORRICE to open the S hook on the triple, though the E is easier to play through for me to score 30+ along the N column.
>Chris_Tallman: AABEIOS 12K ABO +24 349
#note I saw ABOVE (29), but that takes a sneaky S hook that I'm sure Dylan knows, and ABO takes out good floaters - worth the 5 point sacrifice.
>Dylan_Early: AHT 14J HAT +36 179
>Chris_Tallman: AAEIMSY 15K SEAMY +46 395
#note No need to make a fishier play up this much.
>Dylan_Early: U N13 .U. +10 189
>Chris_Tallman: ADFIJKO 10E JAK +39 434
>Dylan_Early: ELP 9H P.LE +10 199

>Dylan_Early: ERZ J4 REZ +68 267
>Chris_Tallman: DEEIQRT 8K .RIDE +24 482
#note Setting up the Q, could play something like TRIED/TREZ for a bit more bingo defense - all choices just affect spread at this point as I'm 100% to win.
>Dylan_Early: ?AEINTT 3I ITErANT +77 344
>Chris_Tallman: AFIQTUW 7M QI +45 527
>Dylan_Early: DDILNRS C4 DIRNDLS +64 408
#note Nice comeback from Dylan to make the score respectable.
>Chris_Tallman: AEFPTUW O1 FE.WA +45 572
#note Only learned somewhat recently studing Collins-only 5's, always nice when one you study shows up in-game.
>Dylan_Early: ENS 9M SEN +23 431
