>David_Weisberg: ?ABIIQT 8G QI +22 22
#note 8D QIBLA or QUBIT 50 are available, but don't score enough to burn the blank. QI does about 11 points better than QIBLA in simulation.
>Andy_Hoang: AEMNV 7H MAVEN +15 15
>David_Weisberg: ?ABINRT 9E BRIsANT +76 98
#note K4 TABERING 86. 9F VIBRANT 79 would be better than my play too, though unlike BRISANT it does take an S.
Note: BRISANT was scored as only 74.
>Andy_Hoang: EITX 8L EXIT +39 54
>David_Weisberg: EIOOSVW E6 OVI.OS +22 120
#note This was too cute I suppose. The sim thinks so. I thought it cleaned up my rack nicely and I could redraw an S with 3 more out. Besides the low score, the big drawback seems to be putting O next to the TLS, and also opening the S for 8s. K4 WOVE 20 sims best, ugly as it looks with the EIOS leave. Half a point behind it is 10I WOO 19, but this looked pretty scary even though it keeps the best leave. I bingo 27% of the time with WOO, and 26% with WOVE, compared to just 9% for OVIBOS. I was thinking about defense more than about bingos, but I guess that wasn't correct here. OVIBOS sims about 6 points behind WOVE.
>Andy_Hoang: AJW D10 JAW +37 91
>David_Weisberg: AEELRRW F4 RAW +27 147
#note Sims evenly with F5 EW. F2 WALER 22 is 1.5 behind. I wasn't thrilled with RAW but I think it's fine here. However, the sim says EW bingos a bit more often.
>Andy_Hoang: HOOP D3 POOH +27 118
>David_Weisberg: DEELRSU 3F DUELERS +68 215
#note It's also at 10I for 71, which sims 4 points better. I didn't see it.
>Andy_Hoang: OOZ C11 ZOO +41 159
>David_Weisberg: ?ADEEEM 2I ADEEMEd +89 304
#note Rewarded nicely for my mistake
>Andy_Hoang: AAEGILR 1C REGALIA +80 239
>David_Weisberg: CGIOTUY 6K YOGIC +21 325
#note I missed 5F AGOUTY, which sims best, followed by 5F ACUITY a couple points behind. YOGIC is 4 points behind AGOUTY. I'd defiitely have played AGOUTY had I seen it. That said, YOGIC isn't bad here, but not optimal, especially with Q played and 2 more unseen U's.
>Andy_Hoang: FT L1 F..T +22 261
>David_Weisberg: CEHNRTU 14A HUNT +27 352
#note I wasn't sure what to do here, and I think this wasn't the best play. If anything, the same tiles play at 5H for 26. He just played of FT, strongly implying he has an S, or at least something like EINRT to hook ZOO, but I shouldn't encourage him by leaving a T to hook for the triple. Not being aware of his likely fishing play, the sim likes taking the points with 14A HUNTER 35. In a vacuum this looks like a ddecent, but I'm betting it doesn't do as well against bingo racks. The R might make things more restrictive for him though, especially if he lacks an E, but I'd say he's very likely to have one based on his prior play. HUNTER sims 3.5 above my play, but only 2 points ahead of 5H HUNT 26, which is what I'd play now. It's possible I just missed it.
>Andy_Hoang: ELPY 5H YELP +34 295
>David_Weisberg: CEIKRST 15A ITS +40 392
#note It was between this or 15C SICKER 56 for me. I'm overwhelmingly likely to win now, but ITS seemed restrictive enough to justify the point sacrifice. However, the sim likes SICKER by almost 8 points.16 points is quite a lot, but I didn't like the increased bingo chances given how likely he seemed to have the last S. Of note, the flashy extension MISSTRIKE H7 45 was available, unknown to me, but as expected, it doesn't sim as well.
>Andy_Hoang: BDIN 8A BIND. +30 325
>David_Weisberg: CEEGKRU B3 GUCKE.R +24 416
>David_Weisberg: CEEGKRU -- -24 392
#note I saw GUCKIER# and excitedly started putting it down, but a spot too high up, so this was challenged off instantly. Andy said he probably would have challenged GUCKIER too. NWL has GOOKY and GUCK, but only Collins has GUCKY, GUCKIER, and GOOKIER. An enormous blunder which now threw the game into doubt.
>Andy_Hoang: FTU K9 .UFT +14 339
>David_Weisberg: CEEGKRU 12K .UCK +20 412
#note This was tricky. I can't empty the bag, but I need to address both the N and O columns and the TUFTS hook. 1L FERE 30 sims best, presumably outrunning most of his bingos, but from what I could see, it appeared better to reduce his bingo chances. FERE is a hard play to make over the board for most. My play sims 6 points behind, but still wins about 87% of the time vs 88% for FERE.
>Andy_Hoang: D 6C D... +11 350
#note Scored as 13
>David_Weisberg: AAEEGNR 1L .ARE +30 442
#note I'm not sure if I mistracked or what, because I can block NEROLIS with lots of different plays. I may have been very low on time and unsure of his exact rack, but I knew FARE would be enough to win. The numbers on these last few turns might be slightly distorted by the underscoring of BRISANT and overscoring of DHOW, but not enough to matter usually. We would have done a recount if it got that close.
>Andy_Hoang: EILNORS 13E NEROLIS +67 417
#note Scored as 440-429
