>Chris_Tallman: ACEILOO 8D COOLIE +22 22
#note Whangarei Round 22
>Lorraine_Van_Veen: DF I7 D.F +13 13
>Chris_Tallman: AAAEGIX J5 AXE +29 51
#note I took a while here and wanted to play AIGA/DEFI (17), which clears out my bad rack and sets the X up under the second A. I decided though that it wasn't worth the point sacrifice. I did sacrifice 2 points to not open the hooks under AXE/FE. The sim really likes AIGA so I think I made a mistake here.
>Lorraine_Van_Veen: BI K5 BI +25 38
>Chris_Tallman: AAEGIIT 10E ATIGI +16 67
#note I considered AIGA/DEFI again, but decided that Lorraine's last 2 plays of DEF and BI looked fishy and that ATIGI blocked a bunch of bingo lanes and wasn't too much worse equity-wise. I didn't know GAITA (20, a Spanish bagpipe apparently) or I'd have played that instead.
>Lorraine_Van_Veen: MOT 11E MOT +22 60
>Chris_Tallman: AAAEESV 12C AVA +17 84
#note I considered VASE (29) next to BI, and VAE or VAES under MOT (VAES to shut down the bottom - was unsure if she knew DEFI took the S), but decided to keep the best leave - the S is also pretty strong on this board with several S-only hooks like DEFIS and XIS.
>Lorraine_Van_Veen: QT C11 Q.T +24 84
>Chris_Tallman: AEEIRRS L4 EASIER +29 113
#note Nowhere for RERAISE - I decide to blow up the rack and score as much as I can. The sim prefers plays like GEAR/MOTE for 12 or AREIC to keep the strong bingo leaves, but I prefer to score more in a tie game if the plays are close enough in equity.
>Lorraine_Van_Veen: EOP 7E OPE +15 99
>Chris_Tallman: DGLLORW K8 WOLD +23 136
#note Not sure why I missed WORLD...
>Lorraine_Van_Veen: BENO M8 EBON +23 122
>Chris_Tallman: EGLMRRS N10 MERLS +38 174
#note Another S used for a non-bingo, and a dangerous hook to the triple lane when Lorraine very likely has good stuff, but I felt this was too many points to pass up.
>Lorraine_Van_Veen: LNOY L11 ONLY +19 141
>Chris_Tallman: CEGHORU N2 COUGHER +99 273
#note I saw GROUCHES to the S of MERLS immediately, and grumbled grouchily when she blocked it with ONLY. I saw I had the consolation play for GROUCHY (26), and nearly just played that - then I looked again and spotted the WEER hook. Really happy about this turn because I'd have given up on bingoing if I was in a different mindset.
>Lorraine_Van_Veen: HS O8 SH +39 180
>Lorraine_Van_Veen: HS -- -39 141
#note Luckily I knew that WEER compared to WEEST and was unlikely to take the S, and I was able to challenge this play off.
>Chris_Tallman: ADIKPRS 6E PADI +25 298
#note Did not know DISPARK (95) (to make a park no longer a park). Failing that, I played PADI to score a bit and not create an S hook for 6's to the triple which would score and open floaters (if I'd played just PAD) as I know she has one. I didn't want to risk a play with KAVA that would either create a massive hook or put a floater in the triple-triple line.
>Lorraine_Van_Veen: HINS O1 SHIN +36 177
>Chris_Tallman: ?GKNRTU 3M K.. +14 312
#note I should play GUNG now to block QATS bingoes, didn't see it this turn (and there's another threat I missed...)
>Lorraine_Van_Veen: EZ M1 ZE. +24 201
>Chris_Tallman: ?DGNRTU H10 .UNG +13 325
>Lorraine_Van_Veen: EE -EE +0 201
>Chris_Tallman: ?ADERRT 14C sTARRED +78 403
#note I was blind to the SAXE hook all game, not that plays there are any better on this turn - but perhaps GI for 3 atop PADI instead of KOI would've been a prudent block.
>Lorraine_Van_Veen: FIST 15H SIFT +48 249
>Chris_Tallman: ?AAEUUW 1K WU. +16 419
#note Thought might as well open it and see if I can hit something with the second blank.
>Lorraine_Van_Veen: EIJNRTV 2H JIVE +27 276
>Chris_Tallman: ?AAENUY H1 A.Ee +30 449
#note Second blank is an E, plays scores 33.
>Lorraine_Van_Veen: NRT 3G T.N +8 284
>Chris_Tallman: ANUY 15D AY +14 463
