>Betty_Eriksen: ACEP 8G PACE +16 16
#note Whangarei Round 21
>Chris_Tallman: AINOSUY K8 YUAN +26 26
#note I prioritized scoring, but YOU (18) keeping ANIS seems too good a leave to pass up for 8 more points, plus this play risks a huge Z or J bomb beside the A.
>Betty_Eriksen: CGNOT J5 COG.NT +19 35
>Chris_Tallman: GHIIOOS K4 GHI +30 56
#note I considered OHO in the same spot (28) but felt the re-parallels of that hit too hard and GHI was better scoring defense, despite keeping the 2 O's.
>Betty_Eriksen: AQU L3 QUA +38 73
>Chris_Tallman: ?AIIOOS M2 OI +26 82
#note I didn't consider using my S here, the sim is liking ISO/QI/GUS/CHAI for 41 (15 more) - seems worth it especially since OI is poor defensively.
>Betty_Eriksen: DV M1 V..D +13 86
#note Lucky that Betty can't hit the spot I opened and felt compelled to block it.
>Chris_Tallman: ?AAFIOS 12F mAFIOSA +84 166
#note I guess the Mafia is pretty male-dominated - MAFIOSA is phony. No hold, though this wasn't intentional, I thought there was a good chance this was valid.
>Betty_Eriksen: ITX H12 .IXT +42 128
#note It probably helped me not getting challenged that Betty had a nice play in response.
>Chris_Tallman: EEEMSTW G11 W.ME +28 194
>Betty_Eriksen: AV 1M .AV +27 155
>Chris_Tallman: EEIOSTU M9 OUTSEE +24 218
#note A difficult turn. I didn't really want to open the lane to the middle left triple with EUOI under PACEY (and the double-double lane) even though it keeps the strong EST. However I spaced on the SPACEY hook, so I thought this play was more defensive than it was, and missed the spot to play OUTSEE over there (23). Also there's the small problem of MAFIOSA being phony, though as Betty didn't challenge the bingo, I didn't think she'd challenge my hook for 24, burning my S.
>Betty_Eriksen: DO F14 DO +22 177
>Chris_Tallman: IMNRRRW 14J WRI.R +32 250
#note Had a bit of doubt as I've had the phony WRILY* played on me before, but not enough to open a big S hook with WIRER instead.
>Betty_Eriksen: EOT O1 .ETO +8 185
>Chris_Tallman: ELMNRST 9F TEL +11 261
#note Going hyper-defensive after Betty blocked the line from the V. QUALM (19) keeps RENTS, but I'd rather shut everything down, being up a bingo. I played TEL over MEL to keep the M for scoring.
>Betty_Eriksen: Y N1 .Y +22 207
>Chris_Tallman: AIMNRRS N6 INARM +27 288
>Chris_Tallman: EIKLRSZ (challenge) +5 293
>Betty_Eriksen: ENNO O6 NONE +25 232
>Chris_Tallman: EIKLRSZ I11 R.Z +46 339
#note Looked at SEZ/OUTSEES first before seeing this spot.
>Betty_Eriksen: BDEI 10C BIDE +13 245
>Chris_Tallman: EEIKLSS C10 .ILK +20 359
#note I remember thinking about BIKELESS*, the anti-Josh play (didn't fit ofc) and about QUAKE/OIK (25) to keep a bingo leave of EILSS - but decided to interfere with the lines through the I in BIDE and the ABIDE hook as best I could instead.
>Betty_Eriksen: ?JL 13L J.eL +21 266
#note Weird give-up play, but it was the 11th game of the day.
>Chris_Tallman: BEEENSS 15L SNEB +42 401
>Betty_Eriksen: APT D9 P.TA +18 284
>Chris_Tallman: ADEEFHS 11B D..E +16 417
#note Keeping FASH for next turn.
