>Chris_Tallman: ELRSTVZ 8F TREZ +26 26
#note Whangarei Round 11
>Mike_Currie: EMOPY 9H MOPEY +29 29
#note Dangerous placement of the Y in Collins - perhaps Mike had more vowels, otherwise MOPY seems better for defense.
>Chris_Tallman: ELPRSVY K8 P.RVY +26 52
#note I briefly considered VESPERLY*, not that seriously - but I didn't know REPLEVY, which scores 60 and keeps the S, wow! PERVY is simming better than YELPERS (48) keeping the V - I don't think I saw that, which is probably for the best as the decision would've eaten my clock.
>Mike_Currie: ADEN 8K .ANED +33 62
>Chris_Tallman: AEELRSV O1 SLAVERE. +98 150
>Chris_Tallman: AIQSTUX (challenge) +5 155
#note I was going to play AVERSELY (80) before Mike gave me the floating D. However, I don't even think this is the best play, RAVELERS with 4 underlaps through the R of PERVY is only 4 less (94) and much more defensive, as the S of SLAVERED is hard to close without scoring few points - didn't see the spot!
>Mike_Currie: AFH 7H FAH +31 93
>Chris_Tallman: AIQSTUX 12H QUA.S +54 209
>Mike_Currie: CLOT 6J CLOT +25 118
#note Nice play to score and open another hard to block line.
>Chris_Tallman: AEILTTX 5E TAXITE +34 243
#note I decided to play this for 4 less up here instead of under the Q to take out this line and not open another one on the 14 row. It's debatable as the other placement does block easy 39+ point Q plays to the triple, which then open floaters.
>Mike_Currie: CKMO 4J MOCK +35 153
>Chris_Tallman: AEEFILN 4D FINAL +34 277
#note Keeping 2 E's didn't seem so bad given there are only 4 left - but I missed a great underlap here - ALIENER with FEME/AZON/PE for 39 (!) which heavily obstructs the bingo line under FEM, and blocks the T of TREZ, and digs for the blanks drawing 6. I looked there, I guess I didn't consider not using the F.
>Mike_Currie: EW 6F WE +37 190
>Chris_Tallman: AEEIIOU H12 .UAI +39 316
#note Horrible draw to EE, so happy Mike didn't block my only spot.
>Mike_Currie: ENR 10G REN +25 215
>Chris_Tallman: DEEGIOR F10 GEOID +24 340
#note 3 consonant draw, bailed out, and a nice defensive option too.
>Mike_Currie: ILN 11C LIN. +8 223
>Chris_Tallman: EEEJORS C9 JO.ES +40 380
#note Almost played JEEL (22) to the L in SLAVERED to block the S, but figured the best play to ensure victory was to just keep scoring and outrun if Mike bingoes twice.
>Mike_Currie: IRT 3C RIT +14 237
>Chris_Tallman: ADEEHNR B10 HADE +39 419
#note Wasn't sure enough that HARE was a verb, no need to risk a phony and a zero turn here.
>Mike_Currie: ?BDISTU 1H SUBeDIT. +86 323
>Chris_Tallman: AEGNOOR A4 OREGANO +83 502
#note Didn't need it, but nice for spread (which as it turns out, ends up being important)
>Mike_Currie: ?BGINOU 14H .BUsING +22 345
#note The only out I saw was IWI, but this gives me WIG anyway. BINGOS/GEOIDS for 37 is best for Mike.
>Chris_Tallman: IW N12 WI. +7 509
>Chris_Tallman: (O) +2 511
