#player2 James_Donnelly James Donnelly
>Peter_Swartzman: EGKORTZ 8G ZEK +32 32
#note played this in less than 10 sec...probably should have looked a bit longer but it is the best play
>James_Donnelly: ?AEIMVW 9F VAW +27 27
>Peter_Swartzman: GOORSTU F9 .OG +9 41
#note GUSTO for 29 at J6 sims 1.7% better (win %)...I can see getting +20 with a good leave (OR) makes sense.
>James_Donnelly: ?DEFIMR 11B FRID.E +22 49
#note Computer likes counterfishing with 11D FIG.
>Peter_Swartzman: AFORSTU 7H FOU +23 64
#note 2nd best behind FA (12D) for same score. I like the FOU-R hook....and you will see why.
>James_Donnelly: ?CEMOST D5 cOSMET.C +78 127
#note Beautiful bingos of B8 COM(F)iEST or J6 C(U)STOMEr look better.
>Peter_Swartzman: AABERST K5 ABREAST +93 157
#note best. Though CABRESTA and CABARETS in row 5 (for 86) are nice too.
>James_Donnelly: AEGLLOT 8A GLO. +21 148
>Peter_Swartzman: DDDINPT H11 DIPT +21 178
#note you like my DDD draw post bingo? play is best by far, assuming this PHONEY (FRIDGED*) doesn't get challenged...it was held but accepted.
>James_Donnelly: AELNNTT 13H .ATENT +18 166
#note Should've just gone with PLATEN or PLANET
>Peter_Swartzman: DDEINOX 8K .XINE +60 238
#note best, 10% (win %) better than XI (L8).
>James_Donnelly: AHHLNNP 5A LAN.H +14 180
#note Nothing super inspiring here. J12 NTH is probably the best leave I can keep here. 7M HAH scores but blocks crucial bingo lanes.
>Peter_Swartzman: ADDIORT 9K .ID +20 258
#note win % is 86-90% no matter what I do at this point but I want to remain bingo friendly...TANDOOR (C3) which is hard to see sims a little better. AROID (14J) about the same as TANDOOR (both 1% better than my #3 play)
>James_Donnelly: EHNNPSY 13A HYPS +36 216
#note Need to open with L1 PENNY.
>Peter_Swartzman: ADEORTU 7M DUO +17 275
#note Missed a bingo here...saw/thought of OUTRATED...forgot its anagram OUTRADE (14E) for 74 which would have given me 97% win % (DUO blocks the most vulnerable bingo lane and has a win % of 81%).
>James_Donnelly: ?EILNNW A12 W.IN +42 258
#note 5G WINN(A)bLE isn't even best here.
>Peter_Swartzman: AEGIIRT 10A GI +12 287
#note GRAIL or ARGIL at A1 sims best but I don't want to open up the board right now...something my O will have to do soon. I keep good bingo tiles with play (AEIRT)...yet, the blank is still out and the game is too close for O to rely on bingos...a good Q or J play and I am trailing...best to go with the points (+9) of ARGIL and draw one more tile (perhaps the J, Q or ?).
>James_Donnelly: ?BEEILN 5G ENvI.BLE +59 317
#note Missed 14E BElTLINE. I briefly looked down there, but I was getting low on time at this point. Perhaps lINE(A)BLE gives me better shots of winning too?
>Peter_Swartzman: AEIJRTV A1 VIRA. +27 314
#note sims 2nd best behind AJIVA (B2) for 30 pts. I don't like the response AJIVA gives in row 1. going to be a very close game either way at this point.
>James_Donnelly: CEORSUY N10 CURSE +35 352
#note Missed N10 YOUSE :(
>Peter_Swartzman: EEJLOTU H1 JETO. +39 353
#note sims best...need points to catch up...still only 30% win % after this play.
>James_Donnelly: AAENORY 4L AERY +34 386
#note Still very low on time and not sure if CURSE(R) is a word. The pool looks good so I decided to block the only thing I could find which was AMITROLE through the T. However, I missed EMULATOR, QUARTILE, and REQUITAL
>Peter_Swartzman: AELMORU 14F LU.E +8 361
#note obviously I missed the BINGO (EMULATOR (3C) for 74) which gives me a win of 69 pts. I saw an unplayable MORULAE but didn't know OUTREALM*-->EMULATOR cold...I was focused on going out in two and winning a close one...that is what I spent my limited time figuring out...I too missed Q-AID (row 9) and NIQAB at L1...thought this play blocked QAT and gave me a huge out...I know I played MURA (15L) first I would lose.
>James_Donnelly: AINOQ 10I QI. +14 400
#note My two wins here are J9 QI and L1 NIQ(AB). I thought I was in the clear after Peter missed EMULATOR, so I hastily slapped down QIS with under a minute left thinking I was okay, when in reality, I wasn't. Know I have to come to terms with the fact that I could have an extra win at this point in the tournament.
>Peter_Swartzman: AMOR 15L MORA +35 396
#note my only winning play....wasn't 100% sure of either word at this point. James challenged both plays as he should (last play of game). My first game against this formidable young player. I expect to see him playing for National titles in the years to come!
