>Michael_Fagen: HIORU 8D HOURI +24 24
#note This is the game that cost me 4th place. Let's see where I went wrong...
>Jonathan_Lindh: AABEEOZ 7B AZO +27 27
#note E4 BAZOO for 32 is the top play according to Quackle. I strongly considered this play but went with AZO to retain a consonant. AEE didn't sit well with me.
>Michael_Fagen: AEINOPT G6 AT.OPINE +63 87
#note Only bingo.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AAABEEV 12D VEE.A +18 45
#note Best.
>Michael_Fagen: AEELOTU - +0 87
#note Exchange 5. Not actual rack.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AABJST F4 JAB +28 73
#note Best.
>Michael_Fagen: EHLW 11E WH.LE +39 126
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?ALRRST 13F R.TRiALS +75 148
#note I was very pleased with this find. I didn't see RESTORAL in the same spot but both bingos have almost identical winning chances. I also didn't ROSTRAL which is a bit concerning.
>Michael_Fagen: OX 8A OX +36 162
>Jonathan_Lindh: CEEFIUW 4D FU.I +28 176
#note I debated between 6A EW for 34 and FUJI. These places are #1 and #2 respectively but Quackle likes EW a little more. I went with FUJI because I wasnted to clean up this rack a bit and thought B6 would stay open. Many of the bigger tiles that go there are already played.
>Michael_Fagen: AENRV L8 VERNA. +26 188
>Jonathan_Lindh: CCEEILW 6A EW +34 210
#note Best.
>Michael_Fagen: IIMMN 14B MINIM +45 233
#note Nice find. I held this play for about 15-20 seconds because I can never remember if it's MINIM or MINUM* but then correctly released. I think this play ended up winning the game for Michael.
>Jonathan_Lindh: CCEILST - +0 210
#note I exchanged the C. This is where the game went wrong. I saw H1 TICS for 37 a little while after I made my play. I still strongly regret not playing TICS. CEL is a good leave and there is still SS? out. Then again, my one tile fish hits with 29 of the 43 unseen letters in the pool, so this fish should work and if I draw the most likely letter (the E), I hammer Michael with SECTILE/HERMS. Exc. C ended up not working out, but I don't know in theory how much of a mistake my play is.
>Michael_Fagen: IQ 13C QI +50 283
#note The Q was also one of the unseen letters that didn't work with my fish.
>Jonathan_Lindh: CEILSTT E3 C.T +14 224
#note I draw the T and don't hit my fish. Quackle likes H1 TICS for 37 a bit better but CUT is 2nd and very close behind. Perfectly fine play.
>Michael_Fagen: DEY 9A DYE +28 311
#note I orginally thought Michael played MAXY* but then I realized I was reading the board upside down on my turn.
>Jonathan_Lindh: EFILOST A4 FO. +10 234
#note The F wasn't a welcome sight. I didn't think LOFTIES* would fly. Quackle thinks I should blow up the rack with H1 FOIST for 43 but I was mentally locked into bingoing at this point.
>Michael_Fagen: DEE H10 E...ED +25 336
#note Michael wisely partially obscures the big HERM(A/S) lane.
>Jonathan_Lindh: CEILLST I3 CELLIST +73 307
#note Hit my fish!
>Michael_Fagen: KO K11 OK. +24 360
>Jonathan_Lindh: DDENPTU E7 N.D +17 324
#note I struggled a lot with this turn, but Quackle is fine with my play.
>Michael_Fagen: AGINNOT 15H .ONATING +83 443
#note Michael executes my chances of 4th place by bingoing without a blank or an S. I knew I was sunk at this point.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEGIPTU 5H P.UG +14 338
#note A G is not what I wanted to draw here. Things are basically hopeless now.
>Michael_Fagen: ABSS 15A BASS +45 488
#note Scored as 44. I certainly was sleeping with the fishes in this game.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEGIORT 8L .OID +24 362
#note 3I CITED for 16 is the best endgame. I was very focused on blocking the C because of VARY. However, VOID isn't right at all.
>Michael_Fagen: ?AERUY O3 UnREA.Y +10 498
#note 3I CAUTERY for 22 is best. I also didn't track an extra E which explains VOID. I probably should have retracked the E's, but to be honest, my brain left for the airport at this point.
>Michael_Fagen: (GTRE) +10 508
#note Final score recorded as 507-362 because of Michael underscoring BASS by a point. Congratulations to Michael on the new 2000+ rating!
