>Morris_Greenberg: ACGMNNU 8D GUNMAN +22 22
>Jared_Cappel: EILORTU 9I OUTLIER +62 62
#note I put OUTLINER on the board then chickened out of its validity, thinking I might be confusing it with OUTLIVER. So bad. Later, during casual speed games I chickened out on STAINER. This is just like me thinking TAINTER* was a word and then being scared of ATTAINER in Lake George. It's about time I looked over the -ER words. (Of course to do that I'd have to actually, you know, study).
>Morris_Greenberg: ACIRSTT N2 CRISTAT. +74 96
>Jared_Cappel: AEFOTTY O7 TO.Y +29 91
#note Considred FETATORY*. Quackle likes FLOATY a bit more than TORY.
>Morris_Greenberg: ABDENNR 4H ENDBRA.N +76 172
>Jared_Cappel: AEFLOTU 3L AF.O +28 119
#note I missed FLAMEOUT. Looks like two words to me, but it's a noun about a plane's engine failure. Don't remember this being a word. FOU at 7H seems like the best non-bingo play, as the leave is much stronger.
>Morris_Greenberg: AIIIJNU D8 .AIJIN +28 200
>Jared_Cappel: AAELTUV 3C VALUATE +79 198
>Morris_Greenberg: AEGIUWX 2E AX +52 252
>Jared_Cappel: DEEGLPZ B2 ZEP +39 237
#note I was so focused on cashing in the VALUATE hook before Morris that I overlooked some very simple plays, all through the first A in VALUATE. ZAG sims by far the best. This is over 9% WP mistake by me. Terrible.
>Morris_Greenberg: EGIOSUW 11D .OW +26 278
#note W(A)GE or W(A)E D2 looks stronger here to block the spot that is easiest for Jared to score with, and OWIES A4 too, though I wasn't sure of the S hook for OWIE. Quackle also prefers (J)UG here - likely in part because it preserves the OWIES possibility.
>Jared_Cappel: DDEGIKL H1 KI..D +30 267
#note Morris seemed to think my play telegraphed a blank. I was debating KITED and KINDLED. Those two plays sim similarly but KINGED (which I somehow missed) is much stronger. The leave of DL is way better.
>Morris_Greenberg: EEGIOSU C3 .OGUE +14 292
#note Shoot, EU(L)OGISE or EU(L)OGIES. I autopiloted this.
>Jared_Cappel: DEGHLTV D2 L.H +38 305
#note If this was my right rack (I can't read my handwriting), I somehow missed GLAD, which once again has a much stronger leave.
>Morris_Greenberg: BEEFISS 5K EF +24 316
#note BE(L)IEF looks a lot stronger here.
>Jared_Cappel: ADEEGTV 13B VE.GED +26 331
#note I wasn't sure if VENGE takes a D. It makes sense but thought for some reason it might not. I decided to be aggressive, figuring Morris wouldn't be sure either, which he wasn't (but it's good). I liked setting up my case A here. After starting the game playing terribly, I finally seem to have made a nice play.
>Morris_Greenberg: BEHIOSS L7 BO.SHIES +78 394
>Jared_Cappel: ?AMPRTY A12 PATY +48 379
#note Morris suggested in post-mortem not to cash in on the case A hook so quickly. My thought was he would just obstruct if I didn't but it is quite hard to block that V which I didn't consider. Interestingly, Quackle's strongest simming play is B10 MARVY, burning the A, although it does open a second lane. Another possible idea is RAMP (or AMP) over PATY, as more bingos start with P than Y, and the TY? leave goes well with the tiles in the pool. Interesting turn. Open to thoughts. (also, there is a bingo here of IMPARITY but I liked scoring well and holding the blank so I wasn't looking for bingos throuhg the I).
>Morris_Greenberg: CDEINRR 13I CRI.D +22 416
#note I considered DRI(V)E here too, but this closes so many more bingos. CID(E)R looks a bit better because if Jared bingos here and then draws the Q, Q(I) will be only 11 instead of 22 points.
>Jared_Cappel: ?EMORSW 14F WO +29 408
#note Another tough turn! I saw WO(R)M to set up the S but didn't want to empty. I saw MISDROVE as a possbile bingo down the B column to go for (also MISDRIVE). I considered (E)W briefly but thought it gave him one more turn to fish. So I went with WO. I was so low on clock that I didn't have time to debate WO vs. OW (atypically, I played very slow all day). OW sims best and also won asking championship player but WO came second. Though Morris points out Quackle does not do well analyzing such positions. Open to thoughts as these pre-end games are beyond my simple brain. At least I tracked correctly for once!
>Morris_Greenberg: ?EELNOR 15E RELlENO +78 494
#note ERELONg is 3 more points.
>Jared_Cappel: ?EIMQRS 6A SQ.IRMs +43 451
#note Sadly, no bingos fit. This is best.
